Jakarta, INTI - Indonesia’s rapid adoption of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is driving growing demand for robust, integrated, and adaptable AI solutions capable of keeping pace with technological advancements and evolving industry requirements. Responding to this need, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has introduced AIcosystem, a comprehensive AI ecosystem that unifies AI capabilities across the TelkomGroup to accelerate AI adoption across industries while delivering relevant solutions for businesses, government institutions, and society.
As part of its strategy to strengthen AI capabilities, AIcosystem was officially launched in Jakarta on June 4 by Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini, Telkom IT Digital Director Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, and Presidential Special Envoy for Youth Development and Creative Workers Raffi Ahmad. The initiative reinforces Telkom’s position as Indonesia’s End-to-End AI Ecosystem Enabler, providing a complete AI framework spanning infrastructure, platforms, models, solutions, and applications.
Dian Siswarini emphasized that AIcosystem reflects Telkom’s commitment to making AI a key pillar of Indonesia’s digital transformation. Beyond serving as a technology provider, TelkomGroup aims to become a strategic collaborator that helps businesses and communities maximize AI’s potential in both professional and daily activities.
“AI is not merely a technological trend, it is the new foundation of digital transformation that must be developed collaboratively and sustainably. Through AIcosystem, we are bringing together the full strength of TelkomGroup’s AI capabilities to build an integrated ecosystem capable of generating meaningful impact for society, businesses, and national competitiveness,” Dian stated during the launch event themed Beyond Innovation, Impact for the Nation.
AIcosystem has been designed to orchestrate TelkomGroup’s diverse AI capabilities under a unified strategic direction, enabling the development of scalable and value-driven solutions. AI initiatives previously developed independently by TelkomGroup’s operating companies can now work together more effectively to support the needs of enterprises, government agencies, and communities. The ecosystem integrates a broad portfolio of AI assets, including the Telkom AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE), Telkomsel AI, Neutra Compute by NeutraDC, AI Infomedia, AI Digiserve, and Telkom University.
AI CoE and the Full-Stack AI Strategy
At the center of this initiative is the Telkom AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE), which drives AI development through five strategic pillars: AI Campus, AI Playground, AI Connect, AI Hub, and AI Native. These pillars are designed to accelerate AI adoption through talent development, innovation, collaboration, and practical implementation.
Through AI Campus, Telkom strengthens partnerships with universities and research institutions to develop AI talent and research capabilities. AI Playground provides developers and communities with opportunities to explore and experiment with AI technologies. AI Connect serves as a collaborative platform linking academia, industry, communities, and Telkom, while AI Hub helps transform ideas and experiments into deployable solutions. Meanwhile, AI Native focuses on integrating AI into TelkomGroup’s internal operations to improve speed, intelligence, and efficiency.
According to Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, one of AIcosystem’s distinguishing characteristics is its full-stack AI approach, which spans every layer of the AI value chain.
“AIcosystem is built using a full-stack approach, meaning TelkomGroup is not only delivering AI applications but also strengthening the underlying foundations through infrastructure, data, models, and platforms. This enables more secure, scalable, and business-relevant AI solutions tailored to Indonesia’s needs,” Faizal explained.
The full-stack architecture consists of three primary layers: AI Infrastructure, AI Models & Platforms, and AI Solutions & Applications. At the infrastructure level, Telkom provides data center resources, GPUs, CPUs, and memory systems to support AI computing workloads. Within the AI Models & Platforms layer, the company develops AI platforms, big data platforms, data aggregation capabilities, and Indonesian-language Large Language Models (LLMs). At the solutions layer, TelkomGroup delivers industry-specific AI applications designed to address operational challenges across both public and private sectors.
Unlike consumer-focused AI solutions, TelkomGroup’s AI offerings are specifically designed for enterprise environments, prioritizing private data management, governance, security, and seamless integration with business systems. This enables organizations to generate more strategic insights based on real-world data while maintaining enterprise-grade security standards.
Expanding AI Adoption Across Industries
Today, TelkomGroup’s AI solutions are already being utilized across multiple strategic sectors, including education, government, transportation, energy, oil and gas, finance, logistics, telecommunications, and manufacturing. Use cases range from pricing analytics, traffic management, HR profiling, legal document review, and AI-powered infrastructure planning to educational applications such as Telkom’s Pijar platform, which helps teachers evaluate essays more efficiently and consistently.
Beyond delivering proven AI solutions, AIcosystem has been developed with Indonesia’s specific needs and context in mind. Support for Indonesian-language LLMs, enhanced data security measures, and the use of domestically operated infrastructure demonstrate Telkom’s commitment to strengthening both digital transformation and national AI sovereignty.
For Telkom, AI development extends beyond technological innovation. The company believes AI must understand Indonesia’s language, culture, and societal dynamics to deliver meaningful and sustainable value. This approach is expected to foster domestic innovation while maximizing the economic benefits of AI across industries.
From the perspective of young professionals and creative workers, Raffi Ahmad noted that AI presents significant opportunities for learning, innovation, and collaboration.
“Young people are among the fastest adopters of emerging technologies, including AI. The key question is no longer whether AI will replace humans, but how we can use it productively, creatively, and responsibly. AIcosystem demonstrates that Indonesia is not only a user of AI but also a creator. It opens wider opportunities for collaboration, learning, and innovation that will shape the nation’s future,” Raffi said.
Through AIcosystem, Telkom reaffirms its commitment to advancing AI as a catalyst for digital transformation, enabling comprehensive solutions that enhance productivity, create sustainable value, and strengthen Indonesia’s competitiveness in the digital era.
Conclusion
Through the launch of AIcosystem, Telkom is positioning itself as a key enabler of Indonesia’s AI-driven future. By integrating infrastructure, platforms, talent development, and industry-focused solutions into a unified ecosystem, the company aims to accelerate AI adoption, strengthen digital sovereignty, and create long-term value for businesses, government institutions, and society.
