Jakarta, INTI - Digital transformation has become one of the government's main priorities to drive efficiency and effectiveness of public services.
In recognition of the importance of this digital transformation for Indonesia, the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) and the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan-RB) are collaborating to strengthen their strategies in accelerating the digitalization of government administration.
With this initiative, it is aimed that an adaptive and transparent bureaucracy can be achieve, allowing public services to quickly and effectively respond to the dynamic and evolving needs of society.
Focus Area of Collaboration
This collaboration focuses not only on strengthening technological infrastructure, but also on developing policies that are in line with the evolving dynamics of public services.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Communications and Digital on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the Minister of Communications and Digital, Meutya Hafid, emphasized the importance of collaboration across ministries and agencies to ensure that digital transformation does not simply become a process of technology adoption, but rather has a real impact on improving the quality of public services.
Furthermore, she also emphasized the need for comprehensive integration of digital systems, which includes key areas such as optimizing data governance and improving the competence of human resources in the government sector.
"We truly appreciate Kemenpan-RB’s dedication to building a more efficient and effective digital government, Kemkomdigi is fully committed to supporting this strategic initiative that foster integrated public services with a meaningful and widespread impact on society," said Meutya.
Similarly, Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Rini Widyantini, reaffirmed Kemenpan-RB’s commitment to accelerating government digitalization as part of a modern bureaucratic reform.
She emphasized that a business process-based approach is crucial in ensuring that digitalization remains adaptive to the evolving needs of society.
“Today, we look forward to the full support from the Ministry of Communication and Digital in driving the business process-based digital transformation of government. This approach is critical to ensuring that every aspect of digitalization goes beyond technical implementation and delivers tangible, meaningful improvements to public services," Rini stated.

To further support these efforts, the government is preparing a draft Presidental Regulation (Perpres) aimed at strengthening coordination and synchronization in driving digital transformation across all levels of administration.

Additionally, this draft aims to accelerate the implementation of priority digital transformation agendas, which not only focus on the technological aspects but also consider their impact on the effectiveness and quality of public services.
