Jakarta, INTI - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) and Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) have strengthened their strategic partnership to develop sustainable digital infrastructure through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on digital infrastructure collaboration. The partnership is expected to accelerate regional digital economic growth while supporting the transition toward low-carbon energy utilization.

The MoU was signed by Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini and Singapore Economic Development Board Managing Director Jermaine Loy in Jakarta on July 6, 2026. The agreement forms part of a series of collaborations announced during the Indonesia–Singapore Leaders’ Retreat.

The partnership represents a business-to-business (B2B) collaboration supporting strategic initiatives between Indonesia and Singapore, particularly in digital economy development, sustainable infrastructure growth, and accelerating energy transition efforts.

Managing Director of Danantara Investment Management Stefanus Ade Hadiwidjaja highlighted that the collaboration represents a strategic step toward creating both economic and development value.

He emphasized that the integration of digital infrastructure, green energy, and regional cooperation could generate more competitive and sustainable projects while creating long-term value.

“This type of collaboration will become an important foundation in strengthening Indonesia’s position as a digital economic growth hub in the region,” Stefanus said in a press statement on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Similarly, Managing Director Business 2 of Danantara Asset Management Setyanto Hantoro stated that the development of digital infrastructure cooperation demonstrates how state-owned enterprise assets and capabilities can be leveraged into globally competitive business platforms.

According to him, the collaboration will not only create new infrastructure opportunities but also open avenues for long-term business growth.

Developing Low-Carbon Digital Infrastructure

Through the MoU, TelkomGroup and EDB will explore the development of low-carbon digital infrastructure supported by cross-border low-carbon electricity supplies.

The initiative is expected to strengthen a more sustainable regional technology ecosystem while accelerating energy transition efforts across Southeast Asia.

Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini said the collaboration represents a strategic move to strengthen Indonesia’s role in the regional digital infrastructure value chain.

“This collaboration is a strategic step for Telkom to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the regional digital infrastructure value chain. We believe the future of the digital economy requires cross-border partnerships that integrate connectivity, digital infrastructure, and clean energy in a sustainable manner,” Dian said.

She added that through this partnership, Telkom is committed to delivering global-standard digital infrastructure that creates value for both Indonesia and Singapore while supporting regional digital economic growth.

Strengthening Indonesia’s Role in the Regional Digital Ecosystem

Telkom views the MoU signing as a further affirmation of its role as a strategic partner in strengthening Indonesia’s position as a key player in the regional digital ecosystem.

The collaboration is also expected to accelerate the integration of digital infrastructure development and green energy as foundations for future economic growth.

Telkom’s Director of Strategic Business Development & Portfolio, Seno Soemadji, stated that establishing an Indonesia–Singapore digital corridor requires alignment among various strategic interests, including digital infrastructure development, green energy initiatives, and stakeholder collaboration.

“We recognize that creating an Indonesia–Singapore digital corridor requires alignment across strategic areas, including digital infrastructure, green energy, and stakeholder collaboration. Initiatives like this are not built from a single moment, but through gradual strategic planning to create long-term value for both countries,” Seno said.

Moving forward, Telkom will continue expanding collaborations with governments, global partners, and industry players to accelerate the development of a more integrated, sustainable, and globally competitive digital ecosystem.

The company expects this initiative to become an important milestone in strengthening Indonesia–Singapore strategic relations while creating new investment opportunities for digital economy development in the region.

Conclusion

The partnership between Telkom and Singapore’s EDB highlights the importance of regional collaboration in building sustainable digital infrastructure. By integrating connectivity, digital technology, and clean energy solutions, the initiative aims to strengthen Indonesia’s digital ecosystem and support long-term economic growth across Southeast Asia.
