Industry Ministry Accelerates Industrial Data Integration through SIINas Outreach

2 months ago | Industrial Transformation

Jakarta, INTI - The Ministry of Industry of Indonesia is continuing to strengthen the governance of national industrial data by optimizing the use of the National Industrial Information System (SIINas). The effort was carried out through an outreach program on SIINas registration organized by the Industrial Standardization and Services Center Samarinda for industrial business players and representatives from regional Industry Offices across North Kalimantan Province.

SIINas Supports Data Driven Industrial Policy

Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that SIINas plays a strategic role in supporting the formulation of industry policies based on reliable data and real conditions in the field. The platform serves as a key instrument for the government to obtain accurate, up-to-date, and nationally integrated industrial data.

“With strong data, the government can formulate the right policies to strengthen the competitiveness of national industries while maintaining the sustainable growth of the manufacturing sector,” the minister said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, March 11.

According to him, active participation from industrial players in reporting data through SIINas is also part of efforts to strengthen the national industrial ecosystem. In addition to enabling more precise policymaking, the collected data can be used to map regional industrial potential, identify industrial development needs, and strengthen synergy between the central and regional governments.

The Ministry of Industry, through the Industrial Standardization and Services Center Samarinda, held the SIINas registration outreach session online on Tuesday, February 24. The event was attended by 39 participants consisting of industrial business actors and representatives from regional Industry Offices across North Kalimantan. The session featured speakers from the Organizational Structure and Process Team, including Endang Sulamidamish, with Haspiadi serving as moderator. The materials covered SIINas registration procedures and an overview of industrial reporting mechanisms.

Head of the Agency for Industrial Standardization and Services Policy Emmy Suryandari stated that the outreach program is part of broader efforts to strengthen industrial standardization systems and services while improving compliance in industrial data reporting.

“BSKJI continues to encourage the optimization of SIINas as the national industrial data platform. Through the support of service units such as BSPJI, we aim to ensure that industrial players across regions receive adequate assistance in the industrial data reporting process,” she said.

She added that integrated industrial data plays a crucial role in supporting Indonesia’s industrial transformation, including the formulation of region-based industrial development policies, strengthening industrial supply chains, and developing priority industrial sectors.

Regional Collaboration Key to Strengthening Industrial Data Reporting

Meanwhile, Head of the Industrial Standardization and Services Center Samarinda Ransi Pasae explained that the outreach initiative reflects BSPJI Samarinda’s commitment to improving compliance among industrial players in fulfilling their data reporting obligations through SIINas.

“SIINas is an integrated digital platform that functions as the central hub for national industrial data and information. To encourage businesses to actively participate in regular data reporting, support from relevant regional offices, particularly those responsible for industrial affairs, is essential. Through this outreach program, we provide education and understanding about the mechanisms, benefits, and importance of SIINas for both industrial players and regional governments,” Ransi said.

He noted that the active involvement of regional governments is a critical factor in encouraging industries to consistently submit their data. With collaboration between the central government, regional administrations, and industrial stakeholders, the availability of national industrial data is expected to become more comprehensive, accurate, and integrated.

Through this initiative, the Ministry of Industry aims to strengthen collaboration between industrial players and regional governments in supporting a more effective national industrial reporting system. Integrated industrial data through SIINas is expected to serve as an important foundation for advancing a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable national industrial sector.

Conclusion

Through the expansion of SIINas outreach and stronger collaboration with regional governments and industrial stakeholders, the Ministry of Industry aims to build a more comprehensive and integrated national industrial data system. Reliable data is expected to support more precise policymaking while strengthening the competitiveness, sustainability, and development of Indonesia’s industrial sector.
