Jakarta, INTI - The Association of Telecommunications Network Operators (APJATEL) is strengthening its collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) to improve the quality and expand the reach of telecommunications and digital services across Indonesia.
APJATEL Chairman Jerry Mangasas Shandy said the partnership covers efforts to strengthen the resilience and sovereignty of the telecommunications sector while accelerating Indonesia’s digital transformation.
“This collaboration also serves as an enabler. Together with Komdigi, we are working to strengthen telecommunications services, including sector resilience, sovereignty, and digital transformation. These efforts are key indicators of how quickly we can build stronger connections, from person to person, island to island, and sector to sector,” Jerry said while attending the series of events marking the 81st Post and Telecommunications Service Day (Hari Bhakti Postel) in Jakarta on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Jerry said the Hari Bhakti Postel celebrations provide an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation among stakeholders and support the development of more resilient and inclusive digital infrastructure across Indonesia.
Komdigi Calls for Stronger Digital Ecosystem Collaboration
Raden Wijaya Kusumawardhana, Expert Staff for Social, Economic, and Cultural Affairs at Komdigi, said stronger collaboration among stakeholders across Indonesia’s digital ecosystem could help improve both the reach and quality of telecommunications and digital services.
“The event is also being held in the spirit of Indonesia’s independence celebrations. We hope it will inspire all of us to continue contributing to the development of a more advanced Indonesia,” Kusumawardhana said.
Closer coordination between the government, industry players, and other stakeholders is expected to remain a key priority in supporting the continued development of Indonesia’s national digital ecosystem.
Hari Bhakti Postel Strengthens Unity Across the Telecommunications Industry
Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 81st Hari Bhakti Postel in 2026, said the series of activities also serves as a moment to commemorate the contributions and struggles of professionals in the postal, telecommunications, and informatics sectors in safeguarding Indonesia’s communications sovereignty.
“This is the second event in the series of activities commemorating the 81st Hari Bhakti Postel, following the DTI-CX event. Several other activities are still planned, including e-sports, blood donation, and mini soccer, before culminating in the joint Hari Bhakti Postel ceremony in Bandung,” Theodorus said.
The 81st Hari Bhakti Postel celebrations also featured a community walk organized by APJATEL in Jakarta on Sunday.
APJATEL hopes the spirit of togetherness fostered through the celebrations will further strengthen cooperation among the government, industry, and stakeholders in advancing Indonesia’s digital ecosystem and building more resilient telecommunications infrastructure.
