Jakarta, INTI – Nexmedis, an AI-based healthcare startup, has secured funding from East Ventures and Forge Ventures to accelerate healthcare innovation in Indonesia. With advanced technology, Nexmedis aims to revolutionize hospital, clinic, and public health center information management systems for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Why Is This Funding a Game Changer?

Indonesia’s healthcare sector still faces significant challenges, from manual administrative processes to fragmented patient data. Additionally, the country’s vast geography complicates the distribution of medical equipment and healthcare worker training in remote areas. With this fresh capital, Nexmedis is committed to transforming information management systems in healthcare facilities, making them more efficient and effective.

“We are delighted to receive this investment, which will be a game changer as we continue to innovate and deliver AI-driven solutions for healthcare services,” said Nexmedis Co-Founder and CEO, Yehuda Dani Utomo.

What Does Nexmedis Offer?

Nexmedis provides various AI-driven solutions to support healthcare services, including:

  • SIMRS, SIMKlinik, and SIMPUS – Information Management Systems for hospitals, clinics, and public health centers to optimize patient services from start to finish.
  • Clinical Decision Support (CDS) – A technology that assists doctors in diagnosing patients using ICD-10 codes, ensuring accurate treatment and streamlining BPJS and private insurance claims.
  • AI Transcription System (In Development) – A technology that converts recorded doctor-patient interactions into structured digital documents, reducing the administrative workload for medical professionals.

With these systems, Nexmedis aims to simplify various hospital operational processes, allowing healthcare workers to focus more on patient care.

What’s Next for Nexmedis?

Since its founding in 2023, Nexmedis has served more than 400 healthcare facilities. With this new funding, the company plans to expand its service reach and develop more advanced AI technologies to further enhance healthcare efficiency. Support from the Ministry of Health, partnerships with Kominfo, and collaborations with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) further strengthen Nexmedis' position as a leader in healthcare digitalization in Indonesia.

Conclusion

The funding secured by Nexmedis from East Ventures and Forge Ventures marks a major milestone in the transformation of AI-driven healthcare services in Indonesia. With its innovative solutions, Nexmedis has the potential to address critical challenges in the healthcare system, improve medical service efficiency, and provide greater benefits to both patients and healthcare professionals.
