6 months ago | Startups & Digital Talent

Jakarta, INTI – In an exclusive interview with INTI Media during INTI Expo 2025, Founder and Chairman of APTIKNAS, Ir. Soegiharto Santoso, SH., discussed the rapid development of the information and communication technology (ICT) industry in Indonesia. He highlighted the main challenges in developing this sector, particularly regarding the quality of human resources (HR) that still needs to be enhanced to adopt new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The INTI Expo 2025 forum served as a platform to discuss digital literacy, cybersecurity, and the strengthening of national digital talent, involving various stakeholders from industry, professionals, and government to effectively drive digital transformation.

Strengthening ICT Human Resources Through Training and Certification
Soegiharto explained that enhancing human resources is a primary focus of APTIKNAS. “We regularly conduct seminars, workshops, and training sessions for ICT professionals,” he said. The ICT professional certification institution, officially licensed by BNSP, is one of the strategic efforts to ensure the competence of professionals across Indonesia. With around 2,000 members from Aceh to Papua, APTIKNAS leverages its extensive network to build HR capacity and promote digital talent ready to face industry challenges. This approach allows HR development to be not only theoretical but also applied directly through hands-on training and certification.

AI Literacy for SMEs and Industry
In addition to focusing on HR, APTIKNAS emphasizes AI literacy for SMEs and the industrial sector. Santoso explained that they are designing training programs for 100,000 SMEs to enable them to utilize AI in education, business, and daily operational activities. The program provides understanding on how technology can improve efficiency, expand markets, and enhance competitiveness. Education on both the risks and benefits of technology is an essential component so that business actors can implement AI safely and effectively.

Strengthening the ICT Ecosystem and Local Open Source
APTIKNAS also focuses on developing open-source solutions and local content to reinforce domestic innovation. The Rakerda forum and Cyber Security Connect exhibition held alongside INTI Expo 2025 served as platforms to build collaboration among members, expand digital literacy, and strengthen professional networks. The enthusiasm of participants demonstrated wide support from industry players, academics, and government, while also laying the foundation for a robust and sustainable national ICT ecosystem.

Conclusion
APTIKNAS’ initiatives in HR training, AI literacy, and strengthening the ICT ecosystem demonstrate a serious commitment to addressing the challenges of Indonesia’s digital industry. The training and workshop programs help improve the competence of ICT professionals evenly from Aceh to Papua. AI literacy for SMEs and industry enables businesses to utilize technology productively, efficiently, and safely. The focus on developing open-source solutions and local content further strengthens domestic innovation and promotes national digital independence. Cross-sector collaboration among industry, academia, and government is key to ensuring that digital transformation proceeds systematically and sustainably. Through these strategic steps, APTIKNAS successfully builds a stronger foundation for HR, the ICT ecosystem, and Indonesia’s competitiveness in the digital era.
