Jakarta, INTI - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has officially released its 2025 Sustainability Report (SR), reaffirming the company’s commitment to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its business strategy and corporate transformation. The report reflects TelkomGroup’s ongoing efforts to establish a strong foundation for sustainable growth amid the rapid evolution of the digital industry and increasing expectations for responsible business practices.

As digital transformation continues to accelerate, companies are expected not only to generate economic growth but also to ensure sustainable operations, effective environmental management, strong corporate governance, and long-term value creation for society and stakeholders.

ESG Becomes the Foundation of Telkom’s Sustainable Transformation

Through the 2025 Sustainability Report, TelkomGroup highlights various achievements and strategic initiatives aligned with its TLKM 30 transformation agenda. These include improving operational excellence, streamlining business portfolios, monetizing digital assets, and transforming into a more adaptive, efficient, and competitive strategic holding company.

Telkom Vice President of Sustainability, Gunawan Wasisto Ciptaning Andri, emphasized that sustainability has become an inseparable part of the company’s long-term growth strategy.

"For TelkomGroup, sustainability is not merely about fulfilling compliance requirements, but an integral part of the company’s strategy to create sustainable long-term growth while strengthening competitiveness in the digital era," he stated.

In the 2025 Sustainability Report, TelkomGroup’s ESG implementation is built around three main pillars: Save Our Planet, Empower Our People, and Elevate Our Business. These pillars serve as the foundation for creating economic value while generating positive impacts on the environment, society, and long-term business sustainability.

Advancing Low-Carbon Initiative and Green Digital Infrastructure

Through the Save Our Planet pillar, TelkomGroup continues to strengthen initiatives supporting the transition toward a low-carbon economy. The company focuses on emission management, improving energy efficiency, optimizing resource utilization, and developing more environmentally friendly digital infrastructure, including green data centers.

As a digital telecommunications company, Telkom recognizes that energy demand will continue to increase alongside the growth of digital services and data-driven technologies. Therefore, the company remains committed to improving operational efficiency while contributing to national and global sustainability targets.

One of the major milestones highlighted in the 2025 Sustainability Report is the launch of TelkomGroup’s first Climate Transition Plan. This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing the company’s readiness to address climate change and integrate climate risk management into its long-term business planning.

Strengthening Digital Talent, Governance, and National Digital Infrastructure

Through the Empower Our People pillar, TelkomGroup continues to invest in human capital development as a key driver of its transformation journey. By 2025, approximately 21 percent of managerial positions within TelkomGroup are held by women, demonstrating the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusive leadership.

In addition, more than 20.2 percent of the company’s workforce has been categorized as digital talent to support the demands of the future digital industry. Telkom’s commitment to customers is also reflected in its improved Net Promoter Score (NPS), which achieved an “Excellent” rating, indicating higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

TelkomGroup also continues to promote community economic empowerment by developing digital ecosystems for businesses. Throughout 2025, approximately 12.6 percent of assisted MSMEs successfully advanced their business capabilities and improved independence through digital technology adoption and continuous mentoring programs.

Meanwhile, through the Elevate Our Business pillar, TelkomGroup has strengthened corporate governance, risk management, and compliance with evolving regulations in the digital era. One of the strategic initiatives introduced in 2025 was the establishment of the Legal & Compliance Directorate to reinforce the company’s governance and compliance functions.

The new directorate is expected to enhance the effectiveness of risk management, regulatory compliance, data protection, and information security, areas that have become increasingly crucial in today’s digital landscape.

On the infrastructure side, Telkom continues to reinforce its role as an enabler of Indonesia’s national digital ecosystem through the development of strategic infrastructure, including data centers, fiber optic networks, telecommunications towers, and international connectivity.

These infrastructures are essential to meeting the rising demand for digital services, including cloud computing, big data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technologies.

Through stronger digital infrastructure, talent development, enhanced corporate governance, and low-carbon transition strategies, TelkomGroup continues to solidify its position as a sustainable digital telecommunications company while contributing to the acceleration of Indonesia’s digital economy.

Conclusion

Through its 2025 Sustainability Report, TelkomGroup demonstrates that ESG has become a core element of its business transformation strategy. By accelerating low-carbon initiatives, developing digital talent, strengthening governance, and expanding digital infrastructure, Telkom continues to drive sustainable growth while supporting Indonesia’s digital economy transition.
