Jakarta, INTI - The Indonesian Digitalization and Cybersecurity Association (ADIGSI) and Crest International signed an agreement to develop standards, increase talent capacity, and strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem in Indonesia. The signing took place on the sidelines of the UK–Indonesia Bilateral Meeting on Digital Economy and Cybersecurity held in London.
Chairman of ADIGSI, Firlie Hanggodo Ganinduto, stated that the collaboration is part of an effort to expand access to competency development for national cybersecurity talent and industry players.
"ADIGSI is committed to encouraging the growth of the Indonesian cybersecurity industry. Therefore, we view the collaboration with Crest International as a strategic step to improve the competency of national talent while expanding access to the global market," said Firlie.
He explained that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be followed up through several work programs, including strengthening industry standards, increasing human resource capacity, knowledge exchange, developing accreditation pathways, and strengthening the capabilities of cybersecurity industry players in Indonesia.
Indonesia’s Growing Digital Economy
CEO of Crest International, Nick Benson, said that Indonesia is one of the countries with a rapidly growing digital economy in the Asia Pacific region. This has increased the need for strengthened cybersecurity capacity and standards.
"This partnership is part of Crest's commitment to supporting the development of standards, competencies, and professionalism in the cybersecurity industry in Indonesia. We hope this collaboration will benefit the development of an increasingly secure and trusted digital ecosystem," said Benson.
In addition to Crest International, ADIGSI also signed an MoU with TechUK and ADS Group. TechUK is a UK technology trade association with more than 1,100 members, while ADS Group represents the aerospace, defense, security, and space sectors in the UK.
Both collaborations focus on developing industry networks and exploring collaboration opportunities between businesses and technology organizations in Indonesia and the UK.
