Jakarta, INTI – To reinforce Indonesia's position as a global digital power, the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) inaugurated its newly appointed officials on Monday (January 13, 2025) at the Anantakupa Field, Kemkomdigi Headquarters, Central Jakarta. This inauguration marks a strategic step following the ministry's name change from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) to the Ministry of Communication and Digital.

The event commenced with remarks from the Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, who expressed gratitude to the Almighty for the successful inauguration. In her speech, Meutya emphasized the crucial role of digital transformation for Indonesia’s progress and underscored the significant responsibilities entrusted to the newly appointed officials.

"Today, Monday, January 13, 2025, I, as the Minister of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia, officially inaugurate you to your new roles within the Ministry of Communication and Digital," stated Meutya in her address, filled with hope and determination.

"You must act decisively yet wisely. Avoid all forms of wastefulness. Every rupiah of public funds must be used effectively and efficiently. Ensure that all planned programs are well-targeted and deliver maximum benefits to the people," Meutya quoted the President’s directive.

In a move to ensure clean and accountable governance, Kemkomdigi also facilitated the signing of integrity pacts. This initiative reflects the ministry's commitment to addressing various issues, including the rampant problem of online gambling in Indonesia.

Meutya Hafid stated that the signing of integrity and anti-online gambling pacts is a tangible commitment to maintaining transparency and integrity within Kemkomdigi. This effort aims to foster a clean environment, free from corruption, and ensure a secure and responsible digital transformation process.

"The signing of the integrity pact and the online gambling prevention pact is our concrete commitment to combat online gambling while upholding integrity within the Ministry of Communication and Digital," Meutya Hafid declared.
