As well as the development of data centers, digital infrastructure, and various AI skills enhancement initiatives involving the government, employer organizations, and industry.

Therefore, developing AI talent, strengthening digital competencies, and reskilling and upskilling programs are crucial so that workers can adapt and take advantage of opportunities arising from technological change," said Yassierli.

Experience and Knowledge Exchange

Yassierli stated that the collaboration between Indonesia and India could be directed at several priority areas, including increasing the capacity of vocational training instructors in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), AI, and other digital technologies.

In addition to strengthening digital talent, Yassierli also views the importance of empowering informal workers through skills development, entrepreneurship support, and transition pathways to formal employment. The exchange of experiences regarding the protection of platform and gig workers is also a focus, particularly regarding labor rights, social protection, and occupational safety and health.

Yassierli emphasized that Indonesia welcomes opportunities to expand knowledge exchange with India through technical exchanges, expert dialogues, study visits, joint capacity-building programs, and institutional partnerships between ministries and training institutions of both countries.

"Indonesia is committed to strengthening its partnership with India, both bilaterally and within the BRICS framework, to promote decent work, increase labor competitiveness, and build resilient labor market institutions that are responsive to technological transformation," he said.
