Jakarta, INTI – Google is strengthening its role in Indonesia’s education sector by introducing a series of Artificial Intelligence (AI) products and programs specifically designed for teachers and students. This initiative aims to equip the younger generation and educators with future-ready technological skills while opening opportunities for more interactive and effective learning innovation.
Free 12-Month Google AI Pro Subscription
One of the flagship programs is the extension of the Google AI Pro free subscription for 12 months. Through this program, teachers and university students can access advanced features such as Google Gemini 2.5 Pro, higher usage limits for Deep Research and NotebookLM, as well as enhanced thinking assistance with five times more audio and video overviews.
Additionally, the program offers Veo 3 for creative video projects and expanded access to Jules, Google’s AI coding assistant. These facilities are expected to support research, writing, and creative project development in academic environments.
Guided Learning: An Interactive Study Companion
Google has also introduced Guided Learning, a new Gemini feature designed to guide users with questions and provide step-by-step support rather than simply giving final answers. Powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, this feature can help students solve complex math problems, build essay arguments, and prepare for exams.
Whether learning about enzymes, writing an essay on the role of bees in food ecosystems, or exploring photography interests, Guided Learning can serve as a flexible and relevant learning partner.
Google Student Ambassadors Program
In the near future, Google will launch the Google Student Ambassadors program, which will connect 500 university students from across Indonesia. Participants will receive direct training, one-on-one mentoring, and access to Generative AI certification programs.
The program is expected to produce a generation of innovators capable of using AI safely, responsibly, and creatively to empower their respective communities.
Ongoing Support for Indonesian Education
Google revealed that it has trained over one million teachers in Indonesia to master digital skills. A total of 147 public schools in 22 provinces have become pilot schools that serve as models and mentors for other schools in their surrounding areas.
In addition, more than 200,000 teachers have completed training under the Gemini Academy, equipping them with skills to effectively integrate AI into their teaching. Google reaffirmed its commitment to continue integrating AI innovations, including Gemini, into Indonesia’s education ecosystem.
Conclusion
This initiative by Google not only provides access to cutting-edge technology but also builds a learning ecosystem that prepares both teachers and students to face future challenges. With integrated AI support, Indonesian education is expected to become more inclusive, creative, and globally competitive.
