Research and Global R&D Drive Product Innovation

This commitment is supported by Coway’s R&D Center, which serves as the company’s primary hub for water and air solution research and development.

Established in 1993 and located at the Seoul National University Research Park in South Korea since 2008, the R&D Center plays a key role in developing products distributed across more than 50 countries, including Indonesia.

The facility is staffed by over 300 researchers dedicated to creating a wide range of products, including water purifiers, air purifiers, bidets, mattresses, and other environmentally focused home appliances.

Beyond technological innovation, Coway also conducts research on consumer behavior, lifestyle trends, and environmental conditions in different markets to ensure its products are tailored to local needs and preferences.

Squarefit and Squarebig Target Diverse Consumer Needs

As a result of its latest research initiatives, the company introduced two new air purification solutions: Squarefit and Squarebig.

Both products combine advanced air purification technology, air quality data analysis, and modern design elements aimed at supporting contemporary lifestyles.

Designed for larger spaces, Squarebig covers areas of up to 79 square meters and features real-time air quality monitoring capabilities.

Meanwhile, Squarefit is tailored for modern homes with limited space, offering a slim profile and low-noise operation for greater everyday comfort.

Both devices are equipped with Air Matching Filter technology, enabling users to customize air filtration performance according to the specific environmental conditions within their homes.

Jake Lee emphasized that innovation is not solely about introducing the latest technologies but about delivering practical solutions that address consumers’ everyday needs.

Coway noted that its innovation strategy extends beyond technological advancement, focusing equally on ensuring that its products provide meaningful benefits in daily life.

By combining global research expertise, continuous technology development, and a deep understanding of consumer needs, the company aims to deliver air and water quality solutions that support healthier, more comfortable, and modern living.
