Jakarta, INTI - Bnetfit, an internet service provider, has reaffirmed its bold ambition for 2026 by transforming itself from a traditional connectivity provider into a key player in Indonesia’s national digital infrastructure ecosystem. To achieve this vision, the company has outlined a comprehensive strategic roadmap covering Automation and AI development, scalable cloud services, cybersecurity, data center expansion through Nexbyte, IoT solutions for smart cities and industrial applications, as well as strengthening regional connectivity between Indonesia–Singapore and the broader ASEAN region.
To support this transformation, Bnetfit is deploying next-generation Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology. This advanced system enables significant upgrades in fiber optic network capacity without the need to build entirely new infrastructure. The DWDM solution supports more than 96 data channels, delivering speeds of up to 100 Gbps, 400 Gbps, and even 800 Gbps or higher per channel. Beyond increasing bandwidth, it also simplifies network architecture while improving energy efficiency.
Strengthening Backbone Infrastructure and Strategic Ecosystem Expansion
On the international front, Bnetfit is reinforced by the SEA Cable Exchange-1 (SeaX-1) submarine cable system and the Super Sistem Batam-Singapura (SSBS), a 250 km subsea network linking Mersing (Malaysia), Changi (Singapore), and Batam (Indonesia). Domestically, its backbone is supported by the BTI-1 submarine cable system spanning approximately 4,500 km, connecting Batam, Jakarta, Manado, and branching out to Gresik, Makassar, and Balikpapan. This infrastructure serves as a critical backbone for Indonesia’s national data traffic.
The company also strengthens its ecosystem through open-access collaborations with Link Net Tbk and Asianet, enabling access to more than 7 million homepasses across various regions in Indonesia.
Bnetfit’s GM Business Development, Galuh Kusumah, emphasized that network expansion will continue aggressively. He stated that Bnetfit aims to become a strategic partner in digital transformation, expanding beyond Jakarta to other cities across Indonesia while delivering scalable, secure, and reliable digital solutions to support national business and societal growth.
From a management perspective, Bnetfit’s transformation is also reinforced by leadership restructuring. Victor Irianto, formerly CEO, has transitioned to the role of Commissioner to strengthen the company’s strategic direction, while the CEO position is now held by Ade Tjendra.
Victor emphasized that digital transformation is no longer optional but a necessity, highlighting the importance of building a strong digital ecosystem that supports industrial automation, AI adoption, and the growing cloud and data center landscape. He stressed that Indonesia must be strongly connected not only at the national level but also across the regional ecosystem.
CEO Ade Tjendra further stated that Bnetfit aims to go beyond the role of a traditional Internet Service Provider. The company aspires to become a foundational pillar of Indonesia’s digital future by building scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure that supports government transformation, industrial development, and future generations.
Conclusion
Bnetfit’s transformation reflects a broader shift in Indonesia’s digital landscape, where connectivity providers are evolving into integrated digital infrastructure players. Through DWDM innovation, submarine cable expansion, and ecosystem partnerships, the company is positioning itself as a strategic enabler of national and regional digital growth. This evolution highlights a clear direction: future competitiveness will be defined not only by connectivity access, but by the strength, scalability, and intelligence of the underlying digital infrastructure.
