Jakarta, INTI - Elon Musk announced that xAI will no longer operate as an independent company and will instead become part of SpaceX.
“xAI will be dissolved as a separate company and will eventually become SpaceXAI, the AI division of SpaceX,” Musk stated through the social media platform X on Wednesday.
The statement was delivered in response to discussions surrounding the restructuring of xAI’s business operations.
SpaceXAI Partners with Anthropic
In an official statement published on the xAI website under the name “SpaceXAI,” the company revealed that it has entered into a partnership with U.S.-based AI company Anthropic.
The collaboration aims to provide access to Colossus 1, which is described as one of the world’s largest AI supercomputers and among the fastest to be deployed.
The move is part of efforts to strengthen AI technology development through deeper integration with the broader SpaceX business ecosystem.
xAI Continues Development of Grok AI
xAI was founded by Elon Musk in 2023 as an artificial intelligence technology company.
The company has developed several AI products, including the Grok chatbot, which is integrated into the X platform.
Earlier in February, xAI also announced that SpaceX had officially acquired the company as part of its broader AI expansion strategy.
