Jakarta, INTI - Companies are increasingly relying on artificial intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency, process data, and accelerate business decision-making. However, mastery of this technology is considered insufficient without the support of talent with analytical and critical thinking skills.
This was conveyed by Peruri's Digital Business Director, Farah Fitria Rahmayati, at the BRAVO 500 Summit 2026 held by XLSMART for Business in Jakarta. The event brought together more than 1,500 company leaders, regulators, educational institutions, and industry players to discuss accelerating national digital transformation.
Farah stated that AI has become a crucial part of modern business processes, from data analysis to developing decision-making recommendations. However, humans still play a key role in determining how this technology is used to solve business problems.
"AI can accelerate the analysis process and provide data-based recommendations. However, humans still determine how this information is used to solve real-world problems," said Farah.
Competencies of Digital Talent
According to her, technological changes have also shifted the industry's need for human resources. Companies today are not only looking for workers with technical skills, but also individuals who can combine technology with analytical and problem-solving skills.
Peruri assesses five key competencies that digital talent needs: data literacy, AI literacy, a digital product mindset, digital security and governance, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Farah explained that developing these competencies requires collaboration between the government, education, and industry to ensure the learning ecosystem can adapt to changing business needs.
Conclusion
Companies are increasingly leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency and support business decision-making. However, Peruri's Director of Digital Business, Farah Fitria Rahmayati, emphasized that AI utilization must be supported by talent with analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Peruri identifies five key competencies that digital talent needs: data literacy, AI literacy, a digital product mindset, digital security and governance, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
