Jakarta, INTI - ZTE and XLSMART have officially launched a joint Innovation Center in Jakarta to accelerate the development of 5G-Advanced (5G-A) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in Indonesia. The initiative is intended to support the testing of real-world use cases and emerging 5G business models across multiple industries, while also strengthening XLSMART’s network capabilities as part of its commitment to delivering more reliable, efficient, and impactful digital connectivity for Indonesians.
Located at the ZTE Indonesia office in The East Building, Kuningan, South Jakarta, the Innovation Center functions as a collaborative technology testing platform for industry players, academic institutions, and ecosystem partners. The facility is designed to validate practical technology solutions tailored to Indonesia’s market needs and encourage broader digital innovation through open collaboration.
The launch ceremony was attended by senior government and industry representatives, including Nezar Patria, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong, Franky Oesman Widjaja, Senior Vice President of ZTE James Zhang, and Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia Sun Shangbin. Their attendance highlighted the importance of international collaboration in advancing Indonesia’s digital infrastructure and technological ecosystem.
The Innovation Center focuses on several strategic technology areas, including AI-driven network optimization, 5G-Advanced connectivity, sustainable digital infrastructure, and future technology exploration.
