Jakarta, INTI - Chinese communications technology company ZTE Corporation and telecommunications infrastructure and internet services company PT Ekamas Mora Republik Tbk (MoraRepublic) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at MWC Shanghai 2026.
The MoU outlines that the two companies will explore cooperation in the development and expansion of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services for residential and enterprise customers across Indonesia. The companies will also improve service quality through AI-powered network operations.
This collaboration follows the rapid growth in demand for broadband connectivity, which has become one of the key foundations driving Indonesia's digital economy, while reaffirming both companies' commitment to jointly strengthening national digital infrastructure.
MoraRepublic, which has millions of customers in Indonesia, continues to expand its broadband footprint nationwide to meet growing demand for high-quality digital connectivity. ZTE Brings International Experience
Liu Sen, President Director of ZTE Indonesia, said that the company aims to expand broadband access and service quality for both residential and enterprise customers.

In addition to network optimization and broadband service development, the partnership includes the exploration of commercial cooperation opportunities, joint innovation programs, proof-of-concept (PoC) activities, and technical knowledge-sharing initiatives to support future broadband growth.
Meanwhile, MoraRepublic views this collaboration as a strategic step in advancing its long-term broadband expansion objectives across Indonesia. Yopie Widjaja, CFO of MoraRepublic, said that a stronger and more efficient broadband foundation will be the company’s focus.
