Princeton Digital Group Expands Data Center Campus in Bekasi, Pushing Indonesia’s Capacity Beyond 400 MW

11 hours ago | Data Center

Jakarta, INTI - Indonesia’s digital infrastructure expansion continues to accelerate alongside rising demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI). Princeton Digital Group (PDG), an Asia-based hyperscale data center operator, is strengthening its presence in Indonesia through the acquisition of new land in the Greater Jakarta area for the development of its latest data center campus, JC4.

The move increases PDG’s total portfolio capacity in Indonesia to 400 megawatts (MW), reinforcing the company’s aggressive strategy to capture opportunities in Southeast Asia’s rapidly growing digital infrastructure market.

The JC4 campus is located within the Greenland International Industrial Center in Bekasi Regency, spanning approximately 106,217 square meters. The facility will feature four data center buildings, each with a capacity of 60 MW, bringing the total planned capacity to 240 MW. Construction of the project has already begun.

JC4 is situated only around 1.7 kilometers from PDG’s previously developed JC3 campus. The close proximity is considered strategically beneficial, enabling integrated power and connectivity infrastructure that can improve operational efficiency while enhancing service reliability.

Rangu Salgame stated that the expansion reflects growing confidence from hyperscale customers in the company’s execution capabilities across Asian markets.

“This expansion reflects the continued trust and confidence of our hyperscale customers in PDG, built upon our proven track record of delivering consistent execution across multiple markets,” Rangu said in an official statement on Wednesday (April 30).

According to him, Indonesia remains one of the region’s most strategic digital infrastructure markets amid surging demand for cloud computing and AI technologies.

“Indonesia continues to be a key market for digital infrastructure in the region, and JC4 further strengthens our existing portfolio by providing reliable and scalable capacity to support cloud and AI workloads,” he added.

Sustainability and Long Term Digital Commitment

Frederic Daniel van Husen explained that the development of JC4 is part of the company’s long-term commitment to supporting Indonesia’s national digital transformation.

“The JC4 campus reflects our long-term commitment to Indonesia and our role in supporting the country’s digital growth,” Frederic said.

He emphasized that beyond expanding capacity, the company continues to prioritize sustainability as part of its operational strategy. PDG has implemented several initiatives, including the use of solar panels at operational sites and refrigerant management programs to reduce environmental impact.

“In addition to delivering resilient infrastructure, we are also focused on implementing responsible operational practices across all our campuses while working closely with local partners and stakeholders to ensure consistent and high-quality execution on the ground,” he added.

Regionally, PDG currently operates and develops hyperscale data centers across seven Asian countries, with a total portfolio exceeding 1.8 gigawatts (GW). The company’s expansion in Indonesia forms part of its broader strategy to strengthen digital capacity in key markets experiencing rapid technological transformation.

Conclusion

Princeton Digital Group continues to strengthen its position in Indonesia’s rapidly growing digital infrastructure sector through the expansion of its hyperscale data center capacity in Bekasi. Driven by increasing cloud computing and AI demand, the JC4 development reflects both the company’s long-term commitment to Indonesia’s digital transformation and its focus on delivering scalable, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure across the region.
