Nvidia, Amazon, and Cloudflare Reportedly Eye Investment Opportunities in Indonesia

Jakarta, INTI - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto said that several global technology companies, including Nvidia, Amazon Web Services, DocuSign, CrowdStrike, and Cloudflare, have expressed interest in investing in Indonesia. 

Indonesia Highlights Digital Investment Potential at WEF 2026 

He held meetings with senior executives from US-based digital firms on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday, January 23, 2026. 

The discussions took place at the Indonesia Pavilion, where Airlangga explored potential investment opportunities with the American digital companies. Those showing interest included Nvidia, Amazon Web Services, DocuSign, CrowdStrike, and Cloudflare.

The engagement with leaders from the digital economy sector followed ongoing negotiations over global tariffs, as Indonesia and the United States are currently in talks on the matter.

Representing Indonesia’s business sector, Nongsa Digital Park was also present as the operator of the Batam Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The discussions focused on digital economy trends and investment development opportunities in Indonesia, particularly in areas such as data centers, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.

The agenda of several ministers in Davos was to accompany President Prabowo Subianto at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026. Prabowo stated that peace and stability are the most valuable assets we possess.

“Both are not luxuries, but rather essential prerequisites for economic growth and shared prosperity,” Prabowo said in his speech at the WEF Annual Meeting 2026, quoted on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Peace, Stability, and Productivity as Foundations for Growth 

Airlangga said the president had clearly and comprehensively outlined the priority economic programs under his leadership, emphasizing efforts to foster collaboration between the government and the business sector.

“He also emphasized how Indonesia should be led, social policies must enhance productivity, and productivity must translate into growth,” Airlangga said.
