Jakarta, INTI - PT Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia (InfraNexia) and PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART) are expanding their strategic collaboration to strengthen Indonesia’s national connectivity infrastructure through the deployment of Wavenexia and Metronexia services across several strategic network corridors.
The collaboration was formalized through the signing of several Memoranda of Agreement (BAK) during the Bali Annual Telkom International Conference (BATIC) 2026 in Bali on August 27. The agreements reflect both companies’ efforts to address growing network capacity requirements while supporting more efficient service expansion across various regions.
InfraNexia and XLSMART Expand Network Connectivity Across Indonesia
The partnership covers connectivity enhancement and network capacity expansion across several corridors in Kalimantan, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, and Sumatra. The scope includes the provision of high-capacity connectivity through Wavenexia, bandwidth upgrades for existing networks, and the utilization of Metronexia services to support inter-site connectivity across several XLSMART operational areas.
Shared Infrastructure to Drive Network Efficiency
The partnership also creates opportunities for broader collaboration through the shared use of passive infrastructure, including poles and ducts, to support network development. Sharing infrastructure is expected to improve asset utilization, increase investment efficiency, and accelerate network expansion across Indonesia.
InfraNexia Commercial Director Syaiful Rahim Soenaria said the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to providing infrastructure capable of supporting customers’ growing connectivity requirements in a sustainable manner.
“We are seeing continued growth in network capacity requirements as traffic and demand for digital services increase. Through our collaboration with XLSMART, InfraNexia aims to provide infrastructure that is reliable, scalable, and adaptable to network requirements across strategic regions. Partnerships like this are also important for optimizing the utilization of Indonesia’s telecommunications infrastructure,” Syaiful said.
Separately, XLSMART Enterprise Strategic Relationship Director Andrijanto Muljono said collaboration with infrastructure partners is essential to developing networks that are more efficient and responsive to evolving customer needs.
“Growing connectivity requirements demand greater network readiness in terms of capacity, quality, and coverage. Our collaboration with InfraNexia is one of the steps we are taking to strengthen the foundation of our network while maintaining flexibility in expanding capacity across strategic areas,” Andrijanto said.
The collaboration also reflects growing industry confidence in InfraNexia’s role as an open and neutral infrastructure provider supporting the expansion of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem.
The partnership is expected to further strengthen telecommunications infrastructure readiness across the country while creating opportunities for broader collaboration, including the shared utilization of passive infrastructure, to support networks that are more efficient, flexible, and sustainable.
Conclusion
The expanded partnership between InfraNexia and XLSMART highlights the growing importance of collaboration in strengthening Indonesia’s national connectivity infrastructure. Through high-capacity connectivity, network upgrades, and shared infrastructure, the two companies aim to support increasing demand for reliable and scalable digital services across strategic regions.
Beyond expanding network capacity, the collaboration could improve infrastructure efficiency and accelerate digital connectivity across Indonesia. As demand for digital services continues to grow, partnerships between infrastructure providers and telecommunications operators will remain essential to building a more connected, flexible, and sustainable national network.
