Indosat Partners with Ericsson to Develop Advanced Monetization Platform

1 month ago | Network Infrastructure

Jakarta, INTI - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and Ericson (NASDAQ: ERIC) signed a memorandum of understanding during Mobile World Congress 2026 on Tuesday, March 4,  to strengthen collaboration in delivering faster, more flexible, and personalized digital services for customers. The partnership leverages the Digital Monetization Platform (DMP), the world’s first full stack digital monetization platform, designed to support approximately 100 million Indosat subscribers across Indonesia.

The DMP is part of Ericsson’s Business Support System (BSS) portfolio. Through this platform, Indosat can accelerate the rollout of digital and 5G services, simplify product offerings to make them clearer and more flexible for customers, speed up the launch of new services, and strengthen its B2B service capabilities.

President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat, Vikram Sinha, said the partnership marks a significant milestone in the company’s digital transformation journey.

“Our strategic partnership with Ericsson marks an important milestone in Indosat’s digital transformation journey. Together, we are building a fully integrated and future-ready monetization platform that strengthens the foundation for sustainable growth. This platform enables us to deliver faster and more flexible digital services to customers while strengthening our B2B capabilities. The collaboration also supports one of the largest telecommunications migrations in the world, seamlessly integrating millions of Hutch customers into the IOH DMP system.”

He added that Indosat and Ericsson are taking the next step in their collaboration with the introduction of Flash, a new AI- and cloud-based interface designed for Indosat customers.

“Today, we take the next step in this journey with Ericsson by announcing the launch of Flash, an AI- and cloud-based interface for our customers. This is not just a technology upgrade, but a transformation in how we innovate, scale, and serve within Indonesia’s rapidly evolving digital economy.”

AI-Powered Flash Interface to Accelerate Service Innovation

Flash is powered by artificial intelligence and cloud technology and is built with support from Ericsson’s Catalog Manager. The interface allows business teams to independently design and launch new products without relying heavily on IT teams. Through this approach, Indosat customers can access more relevant and personalized internet packages tailored to their evolving digital needs.

With AI capabilities embedded in the system, Flash also helps validate product configurations, reducing errors while accelerating service development and deployment.

President Director of Ericsson Indonesia, Nora Wahby, said the partnership reflects Ericsson’s long-term commitment to supporting Indosat’s business resilience and digital growth.

“For Ericsson, this partnership represents a long-term commitment to supporting Indosat’s business resilience while building a scalable digital monetization foundation. With the flexibility of DMP, Indosat can continuously adapt to new business models without having to rebuild its systems, making it a technology investment that delivers long-term value.”

Ericsson and Indosat will also present their transformation journey, including a live demonstration of Flash, during a dedicated session at Mobile World Congress 2026. The initiative continues the long-standing strategic collaboration between Ericsson and Indosat and reflects Ericsson’s commitment to helping telecommunications operators adapt to more flexible and sustainable digital business models.

Conclusion

The partnership between Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Ericsson highlights a shared commitment to accelerating digital transformation in Indonesia. By leveraging advanced monetization platforms and AI-driven service innovation, the collaboration aims to deliver more flexible digital services while strengthening Indosat’s long-term growth in the evolving digital economy.
