Jakarta, INTI - Total global artificial intelligence (AI) investment, including corporate and other categories, is projected to reach USD581.7 billion, or approximately Rp10,300 trillion, by 2025. This represents a 129.9 percent increase from the previous year.
According to a report from Stanford University, intensifying competition in the AI sector is fueling record-breaking investment.
The growing demand for AI technology, coupled with its rapid adoption across various industries, is driving spending on chips, data centers, and energy infrastructure.
Billions of Dollars Go to Big Companies
Billions of US dollars are being invested in companies such as Nvidia, AMD, Microsoft, Google, and Huawei.
In the private sector alone, AI investment reached USD344.7 billion last year, a 127.5 percent increase from the previous year.
US companies accounted for USD285.9 billion of total private AI investment last year, followed by Chinese companies with USD12.4 billion.
