Environmental Tech and Artificial Intelligence Startup Ecosystem is Growing Stronger with Increasing Support

Jakarta, INTI - Amid the growing demand for green investment and the development of the national digital economy, environmental and energy technology startups are beginning to be considered as a source of new business growth.

These opportunities are increasingly open with increasing ecosystem support for startups offering solutions in renewable energy, waste management, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based technologies.

This situation has encouraged institutions, investors, and corporations to strengthen their mentoring and funding access for early-stage startups. The goal is to enable them to develop into more mature businesses ready to enter the market.

One global startup support institution, UD Impact, held Maju:On The Final Demo Day. This event brought together fostered startups with investors, industry players, government officials, and educational institutions.

Jong Mun Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the LNG Business Division at SK Innovation E&S, stated that the company has been seeking and supporting promising young talents in Indonesia, particularly those working in the environmental and energy sectors.

"The entire mentoring process resulted in business achievements through the final demo day," said Jong Mun Lee, Tuesday, May 26.

AI Technology Helps with Business Ideas

Meanwhile, UD Impact CEO, Kim Jeong-heon, stated that the use of AI technology in the startup coaching process helps participants develop business ideas into more mature business models.

"Based on UD Impact's AI-based startup support infrastructure, we can help participants develop their innovative ideas into more mature business models," said Kim Jeong-heon.

He stated that UD Impact will continue to expand its cross-border startup ecosystem through a combination of AI-based solutions and a global coaching system. UD Impact, along with its ecosystem partners, has also collaborated with several institutions, including Sinarmas Land, Garuda Spark Innovation Hub by Komdigi, the Indonesian Business Incubator Association (AIBI), Ciputra University, and Angin Dampak Jaya.
