Banten Rice Fields Sprayed by Drones, Farmers Enjoy Fast and Efficient Modern Methods

1 month ago | Drone Industry

Jakarta, INTI – Farmers in Tanara Village, Serang Regency, Banten, can now breathe a sigh of relief as pesticide spraying in their rice fields is completed effortlessly. Long-standing issues of labor intensity and time-consuming processes are now addressed with modern technology. In late September 2025, the Sukamaju farmer group began utilizing agricultural drones to spray pesticides automatically. This method is considered faster, more labor-saving, and more efficient compared to conventional techniques. Farmers can simply sit back and monitor the process from a safe distance. A drone demonstration event was held in the rice fields of Tanara Village, featuring Maxxi Tani staff who prepared pesticide solutions in the drone’s tank prior to spraying. Using this method, one hectare of land can be sprayed in approximately 15 minutes.

Drone Technology as an Efficient Solution for Farmers
The Sukamaju farmer group opted for drones because they are deemed more effective. Manual spraying requires more time and labor, whereas drones can complete work that usually takes hours within just minutes. This technology also minimizes direct contact between farmers and pesticides, enhancing work safety.

Staff from Maxxi Tani are responsible for pouring pesticide solutions into the drone’s tank. Once loaded, the drone automatically flies and spreads the pesticide across the entire rice field. Besides being fast, this method ensures even distribution, giving crops optimal protection from pests. Farmers can monitor the process safely from a distance without the need to be in the middle of the fields.

Conclusion:
The adoption of agricultural drones in Tanara Village demonstrates that modern technology can provide practical and efficient solutions for farmers. It not only saves time and labor but also enhances safety and the effectiveness of pesticide spraying. This innovation serves as a tangible example of digital transformation in Indonesia’s agricultural sector.
