Jakarta, INTI - Amid the cool, misty atmosphere of Kintamani, 100 students from SMAN 1 Kintamani showed strong enthusiasm as they explored the technology shaping the future. Rather than attending a conventional lesson, the students were introduced to Artificial Intelligence (AI) through an AI literacy and Training of Trainers (ToT) socialization program organized by Bangli Police on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
Held at the SMAN 1 Kintamani auditorium from 9:00 a.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA), the program reflected the Indonesian National Police’s commitment to supporting the development of a skilled and competitive human resource base.
Personnel from the Human Resources Division of Bangli Police, together with Bangli Police trainers, directly facilitated the program and guided the students throughout the sessions.
The principal of SMAN 1 Kintamani welcomed the initiative, noting that digital literacy is increasingly important for Generation Z.
“Our students are growing up in the AI era. They should not simply become users, but also understand how the technology works and the ethics surrounding its use. We appreciate Bangli Police for showing its commitment to the education of students in Kintamani,” one teacher said.
AI Literacy Introduced Through Interactive Learning
The session was designed to be interactive and engaging rather than formal. After completing attendance and creating Senopati accounts, the students participated in four learning sessions. Each session began with a pre-test and concluded with a post-test to assess their understanding of the material.
Modules 1 through 4 were delivered in language that was accessible to teenagers. Between sessions, students also took part in an interactive storytelling game, creating a relaxed atmosphere filled with laughter.
99 Students Earn AI Literacy Certificates
The program produced encouraging results. Of the 100 students who attended, 99 successfully registered and received AI literacy certificates.
One student experienced difficulties logging in due to an incompatible device. However, the organizing team continued to provide assistance so the student could still participate and understand the learning materials.
The program concluded at 12:20 p.m. WITA in an orderly and enthusiastic atmosphere. Students expressed their hope that similar programs would continue, with more advanced AI-related topics introduced in future sessions.
Head of the Human Resources Division of Bangli Police, Commissioner I Dewa Gede Oka, S.Sos., S.H., M.H., said the program represents an initial step toward developing a generation of young people in Bangli who are technologically adaptive, knowledgeable, and grounded in strong values.
“The National Police is not only here to maintain public security, but also to contribute to education. We want students in Kintamani to be prepared to compete in the digital era while maintaining their identity and values,” he concluded.

The AI literacy program at SMAN 1 Kintamani highlights the growing importance of preparing students to understand and responsibly use emerging technologies. Through interactive learning and hands-on guidance, the initiative provided students with an early foundation in AI knowledge while encouraging them to become more adaptive to the digital era.
