Jakarta, INTI – The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has proven effective in boosting teacher productivity amid the ever-evolving challenges in the education sector. This became the main highlight at the "HaiGuru Impact: AI Learning Revolution" event, held at Swiss-Belhotel Balikpapan on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
AI Helps Teachers Focus More on Creativity and Personalization
Chairperson of HaiGuru Impact, Caroline Suryaatmadja, emphasized that AI is not intended to replace teachers, but rather to serve as a tool to enhance work efficiency. AI can simplify lesson planning, analyze students' learning needs, and manage classroom administration, allowing teachers to concentrate more on creative aspects and building personal relationships with their students.
During the event, which was attended by around 300 teachers and school leaders, various practical uses of AI were introduced. These included generating practice questions automatically based on difficulty levels, monitoring student progress in real time, and providing quick, personalized feedback.
AI also opens up opportunities for teachers to create multimedia-based learning materials, making the learning process more interactive and relevant to the needs of today's digital generation.
Reducing Administrative Burden, Creating Space for Innovation
Co-Founder and CEO of Mimin AI Tech Platform, Joseph Simbar, highlighted the importance of teachers understanding the basics of technology use. According to him, the application of AI in education, such as automated quiz creation and student achievement analysis, can significantly reduce teachers' administrative workload.
With reduced administrative tasks, teachers have more room to innovate and develop creative teaching methods. This creates new opportunities for more adaptive and effective learning processes that align with today's educational needs.
However, Joseph also reminded attendees that AI integration must be accompanied by an understanding of digital ethics and an awareness of student data privacy, a point also stressed by Irfan Taufik, Head of the Balikpapan City Education and Culture Department.

Esther Iriana, Director of IPEKA National School, added that developing technological skills has become a priority to equip teachers for the future. She stated that teachers must not only master digital tools but also use them creatively to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
