14 hours ago | Digital Technology

Jakarta, INTI - Vietnam's CT Group is pursuing long-term strategic partnerships in Indonesia by exploring investment opportunities with the government, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), universities, and private-sector organizations across key industries, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), smart cities, aerospace, and digital infrastructure.

Investment Focus on Strategic Sectors

CT Group Chairman Tran Kim Chung described Indonesia as one of Southeast Asia's most attractive investment destinations, citing its strong economic growth, large domestic market, political stability, and the government's commitment to accelerating industrialization and digital transformation.

"We are not coming simply to invest capital. Our goal is to build long-term partnerships that foster innovation, strengthen technological capabilities, and create sustainable value for both Indonesia and Vietnam," Tran said.

The company is exploring collaboration in a wide range of strategic sectors, including the Low Altitude Economy (LAE), Digital Twin technology, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), aerospace, artificial intelligence, smart cities, advanced manufacturing, logistics, digital infrastructure, and human capital development.

CT Group plans to implement its investment strategy in phases, beginning with feasibility studies, joint research initiatives, and pilot projects before expanding into larger industrial and infrastructure developments.

Driving Technology Transfer and Workforce Development

The Vietnamese company is currently assessing several potential investment locations across Indonesia based on industrial readiness, infrastructure availability, logistics connectivity, workforce quality, and support from local governments.

CT Group estimates that its investments could generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs in engineering, manufacturing, digital technology, aerospace, logistics, and supporting industries.

"Our objective is not only to create jobs but to provide high-quality employment opportunities that prepare Indonesian talent for the future economy," Tran stated.

Beyond employment creation, the company aims to accelerate technology transfer, strengthen domestic supply chains, commercialize research, enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia's manufacturing sector, and build an export-oriented innovation ecosystem through partnerships with universities, research institutions, SOEs, and private enterprises.

"The best investment is one that leaves behind knowledge, technology, and capabilities that continue to grow long after the project is completed," he added.

CT Group believes the initiative could become a new model for ASEAN economic collaboration by integrating investment, education, research, technology, and industrial development.

Tran also expressed optimism that the partnership could help establish new high-tech brands representing ASEAN's collective strengths.

"By combining the unique strengths, capabilities, and resources of ASEAN member states, we can build stronger regional value chains, accelerate innovation, and develop globally competitive industries. Together, we can transform ASEAN's diversity and collective strength into the foundation for a new era of growth and high-tech cooperation," he said.

Conclusion

Through strategic partnerships in AI, digital infrastructure, aerospace, and smart city development, CT Group aims to strengthen Indonesia–Vietnam cooperation, accelerate technology transfer, create high-value employment, and contribute to a more competitive and innovation-driven ASEAN economy.
