Jakarta, INTI - Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) officially established a partnership with PT SkyWay Aerospace Technology through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Signed by UM Vice Rector III, Prof. Dr. Markus Diantoro, M.Sc., and the Director of PT SkyWay Aerospace Technology, Cho Hung Cung, this partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in research, technological innovation, and human resource development through joint research programs, expertise exchange, and technology development that supports future industry needs.
Through this partnership, both parties are committed to developing an innovation ecosystem that connects higher education with industry so that research results can provide broader benefits to society.
Markus explained that the collaboration is not only aimed at the UM academic community but is also expected to have a tangible impact on various strategic sectors, such as agriculture, software management, infrastructure, environmental construction, and other technological developments.
"Technology is rapidly transforming many sectors, including agriculture, software management, infrastructure, environmental construction, and many other activities," said Markus.

He added that this collaboration is expected to develop into a long-term partnership through joint research, technological innovation, downstreaming of research results, strengthening relationships with industry, and ongoing academic discussions.
