Jakarta, INTI - Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA), through its Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni (BKA), has collaborated with IM3 Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Google Gemini through the AIrena Belajar program to organize a digital literacy initiative titled NGOBRAS (Ngobrol Bareng & Seru) on Monday, 29 June 2026.
Broadcast live via Instagram Live on @yellowsquad.bogoreast, the event provided students with insights into the practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance productivity, creativity, and academic performance.
The session featured Bella Aprilia, a Public Administration student from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UNIDA and a Google Student Ambassador (GSA) Indonesia. During the session, Bella shared practical approaches to using Google Gemini as a learning assistant, a creativity tool, and a resource for developing more effective academic strategies.
"AI is not a threat, but a partner that helps simplify the process of learning, working, and innovating, especially when supported by reliable internet connectivity," Bella explained.
Strengthening Digital Transformation Through AI and Connectivity
Beyond AI utilization, the NGOBRAS session, hosted by Aria Wirabuana, AVP-Head of Branch Sales Bogor East IM3, also introduced Indosat's latest service innovation: a biometric-based SIM card registration system, which officially took effect on 1 July 2026.
Through this system, registration uses the user's National Identification Number (NIK) combined with facial verification connected directly to the database of the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil), eliminating the need for a Family Card (KK) during the registration process.
Aria also highlighted that Indosat's 5G network availability in Bogor serves as an important foundation for supporting AI adoption, including the use of Google Gemini. High-speed and stable connectivity enables students to maximize digital services for learning, creating, and innovating.
Through this collaboration, UNIDA, IM3 Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, and Google Gemini demonstrate their commitment to expanding digital literacy and encouraging students to adopt AI technology responsibly and productively. The AIrena Belajar program is expected to continue providing relevant educational opportunities aligned with technological advancements, creating positive impacts for students and the wider community.
Conclusion
The collaboration between UNIDA, IM3 Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, and Google Gemini highlights the importance of AI literacy in preparing students for the digital transformation era. By combining AI education, reliable connectivity, and practical technology adoption, the initiative encourages students to use artificial intelligence as a tool for learning, creativity, and innovation while promoting responsible digital transformation.
