Telkomsat and Nara Space Partner to Advance Earth Observation Technology Development in Indonesia

Jakarta, INTI - As part of its efforts to strengthen international collaboration in space technology and accelerate the advancement of Earth Observation capabilities, Telkomsat signed a Partnership Agreement with South Korean space technology company Nara Space in Jakarta on May 12, 2026.

The agreement was signed by Telkomsat’s Director of Development, Anggoro Kurnianto Widiawan, and Nara Space’s Vice President of Business Development, Minsik Kim. The partnership reflects both companies’ commitment to fostering innovative and adaptive satellite technologies that can address growing demands for satellite imagery data and analytics across various sectors.

Nara Space is a South Korea-based space technology company specializing in Earth Observation satellites and satellite data analytics. The company offers end-to-end capabilities, including satellite development and advanced analytics services powered by satellite-derived data.

“Through this partnership, Telkomsat and Nara Space will collaborate in several strategic areas, including research and development of satellite-based Earth observation technologies, as well as the exploration of joint market opportunities and use cases,” said Anggoro.

Building Indonesia’s Earth Observation Ecosystem 

The collaboration is expected to serve as the foundation for a long-term and sustainable framework aimed at advancing Earth Observation technologies to meet Indonesia’s increasing demand for satellite imagery data and analytical services across government, industry, and disaster management sectors.

Through this initiative, Telkomsat also seeks to strengthen the development of infrastructure ecosystems and cross-sector data integration to support strategic functions such as territorial monitoring, disaster mitigation, natural resource management, and the acceleration of Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda.
