Jakarta, INTI — In an exclusive interview with INTI Media at INTI Expo 2025 at JIExpo, Director of PT Remala Abadi, Samuel Adi Mulia explained the importance of developing network infrastructure as a fundamental foundation for Indonesia’s national digital transformation. According to him, ensuring equitable internet access, including in rural areas, remains a significant challenge that requires innovation and strategic collaboration between the government and industry players.
Equal Internet Access and Investment Strategy
Samuel highlighted that equitable internet access must be accompanied by precise and efficient investment strategies. Given Indonesia’s vast territory, careful mapping is needed between developing new networks and partnering with existing infrastructure providers. “We must balance development costs with service pricing to keep it affordable for customers,” he said. This approach is expected to strengthen national connectivity and expand internet coverage to remote areas.
Infrastructure Readiness for AI and Cloud Technologies
Samuel further emphasized that robust digital infrastructure is crucial to support the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and data centers. He revealed that the company has prepared internet services with speeds up to 10 gigabits per second (Gbps) to meet the increasing demands of the digital era. “This step is essential so the public can utilize digital technologies with reliable and efficient networks,” he explained.
Collaboration for Efficiency and Infrastructure Acceleration
To accelerate network development, Samuel explained that collaboration with foreign partners primarily focuses on bandwidth provision and cost-effective network materials. Meanwhile, domestic partnerships remain the primary focus for strengthening national networks. “We seek efficient materials to reduce production costs, enabling people to enjoy affordable internet services,” he added.
Towards an Inclusive and Competitive Digital Ecosystem
Samuel emphasized that strengthening network infrastructure is not only about advancing technology but also about creating an inclusive and competitive digital ecosystem. Through cross-sector collaboration among government, private sector, and service providers, Indonesia is expected to fortify a resilient, innovative, and sustainable digital economy to drive the country toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
