8 months ago | Network Infrastructure

Jakarta, INTI – Worship convenience now receives a digital touch. Through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, Starlite a home internet service provider supports Islamic religious activities by offering free internet access and professional carpet cleaning for mosques. This initiative reflects the company’s concern for community worship environments, especially in densely populated areas.

Free Internet Assistance for Mosques

Starlite Director Erwin Tanjung stated that the company has provided unlimited home internet access with speeds of up to 200 Mbps to several mosques, including Nurul Ihsan Mosque and Al-Ikhlas Mosque in East Jakarta, as well as Nurruttaqwa Mosque in Depok.

“The goal is to enable smoother and more comfortable religious and digital educational activities in mosques,” Erwin explained in an official statement in Jakarta on Monday, 4,August, 2025.

This free internet is expected to support various activities such as live-streaming of religious lectures, digital literacy training, and other community-based needs.

Program Expansion in Greater Jakarta Area

Starlite aims to expand this program beyond the three mosques. Future plans include reaching other mosques in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) region, particularly those located along railway lines and in densely populated residential areas.

With a stable internet connection, the company hopes to make religious activities more inclusive and aligned with technological advancements. This aligns with Starlite’s vision of supporting digital transformation in religious environments.

Clean Carpets, Comfortable Worship

In addition to internet access, Starlite also strives to create a cleaner prayer environment. In collaboration with Homy Beyond Cleaning, the company performs deep carpet cleaning in mosques using suction methods to remove fine dust, hidden dirt, and mites that may pose health risks to congregants.

According to Erwin, this initiative stems from an awareness of the importance of cleanliness especially for prayer rugs, which are essential for Muslim worship. “We want to create real impact, starting with simple things like clean carpets and stable internet connections. Comfortable worship and access to information are everyone’s rights,” he affirmed.

Building Both Physical and Digital Worship Spaces

Starlite’s CSR program demonstrates how technology and cleanliness can work hand in hand to strengthen the mosque’s role as a center for worship and learning. This support reflects the company’s social responsibility in enhancing community well-being through relevant and sustainable facilities.

Conclusion:

Starlite’s efforts go beyond technical support by also ensuring clean and dignified places of worship. This initiative serves as a tangible contribution to facilitating religious practices through both physical and digital means. In the future, this program is expected to reach even more mosques and communities across Indonesia.
