SOG Launches an Innovative Solution to Strengthen National Security and Logistics

9 months ago | Network Infrastructure

Jakarta, INTI – Digital transformation in Indonesia's security and logistics sector continues to show significant progress. In an interview with INTI Media during the INTI Talk segment, two speakers, Mr. Aris and Mr. Dwi Putra from communication technology company SOG, explained the various solutions developed to answer communication challenges in remote areas, as well as Internet of Things (IoT) based monitoring systems for the logistics and marine industries.

By collaborating with various international partners such as Indosat and Airbus, as well as embedding domestic innovation, the company has succeeded in presenting products that are not only sophisticated, but also relevant to the needs of the field.

Innovations for Critical Communication and Fleet Monitoring

Among the featured products presented were a VMS (Vessel Monitoring System) for tracking fishing boats, as well as a Container Monitoring System (CMS) for logistics. These systems allow freight owners to track containers in real-time from their starting point to their destination, complete with temperature sensors and a warning system when a fault occurs.

In communications, the company introduced ACNET MCX (Mission Critical eXperience) an LTE and satellite network-based communications solution that can transmit data, video, and integrate with drones and CCTV. This product was developed with Indosat and Airbus, and is carried out by SOG as the only value-added reseller in Indonesia.

Creation of the Nation's Children for Technology Sovereignty

Commitment to national technology independence is demonstrated through the presence of POC (Push-to-Talk Over Cellular) radios under the SOG 320 brand and a communication application called Token, all of which are the work of the nation's children. Not only that, the company has also developed an interconnect gateway that can connect various types of communication systems, ranging from analog radio, POC, to satellite, into one integrated communication network.

"With this gateway, there are no more separate communications. Everything can be connected," explained the SOG representative.

Unlimited Communication, Including in Signal-less Areas

POC radio products that use LTE networks make communication more flexible because there is no need to build transmitter towers. With just a data network available, communication is possible with clear voice, flexibility in format (one-to-one or one-to-many), and the ability to track the user's location in real-time.

However, if GSM networks are not available, the company has prepared satellite-based communication devices for both voice and data. This technology is essential for the military, maritime, and general public sectors in remote areas.

Already Implemented in Various Strategic Sectors

The solutions developed have been used in various national agencies. For the defense sector, this communication system has been implemented in six Kodams such as Kodam Jaya, Udayana, Brawijaya, Diponegoro, and Mulawarman. While in the public security sector, the product is used by security companies such as ISS, TAG, EGP, and Nanggala Security.

The VMS system has also been used by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries to monitor fishing vessels above 30 GT. More than 4,500 units have been installed, supporting marine surveillance and preventing illegal fishing activities.

Improving Logistics Security and Efficiency

The CMS solution introduced is also aimed at logistics businesses, including reefer containers. With location tracking technology, temperature sensors, and door detection, the system can prevent damage to goods and theft, and ensure the quality of shipments from warehouse to destination is maintained.

Conclusion

By combining the power of local innovation and global collaboration, SOG delivers communication and monitoring technologies that are relevant, adaptive and ready to meet the challenges of the times. This solution not only strengthens the defense and security sector, but also improves efficiency in the logistics and marine sectors.
