Jakarta, INTI – On October 28, 2025, at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, the Indonesia Technology and Innovation INTI was officially opened as a strategic collaboration platform to strengthen the national ecosystem of research, innovation, and digital transformation. The event is organized together with other key series, including the Indonesia Research and Innovation INARI EXPO organized by BRIN, and the Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit IIXS 2025 organized by APJII.

With the theme “Unlock the Power of Technology and Innovation Gateway to The Future”, the exhibition series brings together research institutions, technology industry players, startups, academics, and investors on a single platform to accelerate the commercialization of research and the development of national technology solutions across a wide range of industrial and digital technologies.

Hendri, Director of Indonesia Technology and Innovation INTI stated that this year there are 927 exhibitors from 12 countries, with 40 percent of participants coming from nationally certified TKDN industries. The event is projected to attract over 20,000 visitors over three days.

INTI EXPO 2025 is organized by CNG Trade Event, with Hendri, the Director, reporting that this year’s exhibition features 927 participants from 12 countries, including 40 percent from nationally certified TKDN industries. The event is expected to attract over 20,000 visitors over three days.

The Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko, emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening applied research to deliver tangible impacts for society and industry.

"We aim to integrate research through to the commercialization stage, ensuring that innovation does not stop in the laboratory. In addition, the government has provided research incentives of up to 300 percent for the industry to accelerate innovation reaching the market," said Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko, Chairman of BRIN.

He also underscored the benefits of university collaboration, allowing the country to harness its current research ecosystem without the cost and time of building new infrastructure.

A representative from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) added that Indonesia must strengthen its capacity as a creator of artificial intelligence technologies, not just a user.

"AI plays a crucial role in national competitiveness. We encourage the development of AI products with strong differentiation based on local research. Several prototypes from universities and national research facilities are ready to enter the commercialization stage," they explained.

The Chairman of the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), Muhammad Arif, stated that digital infrastructure remains the main foundation of economic transformation.

"The expansion of 5G networks, broadband access to the 3T regions, and the strengthening of digital security must continue to be a priority so that the economic benefits of digitalization are felt evenly," said Muhammad Arif, Chairman of APJII.

The INTI EXPO, INARI EXPO, and IIXS series mark an important step for Indonesia in strengthening the ecosystem of innovation-based technology and digital talent. By uniting the government, industry, and research institutions, Indonesia is increasingly prepared to compete on the global stage through sustainable technological innovation and the enhancement of national capacity.
