Poltek SSN Developed ASICK AI Chatbot to Support Bogor Regency Diskominfo’s Public Information Services

5 hours ago | Artificial Intelligence

Jakarta, INTI - Politeknik Siber dan Sandi Negara (Poltek SSN), in collaboration with the Bogor Regency Communication and Informatics Agency (Diskominfo), held a workshop and handover of a prototype artificial intelligence (AI)-based chatbot application called ASICK.

The Secretary of the Bogor Regency Diskominfo, Ilham, S.H., expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to Poltek SSN for this strategic collaboration and for the lecturers and students who successfully developed the ASICK application.

"Hopefully, this synergy will not stop here. We hope Poltek SSN can continue to collaborate with the Bogor Regency Diskominfo in the future, both in terms of development, maintenance, and other innovations," said Ilham.

The Director of Poltek SSN, Arnoldus Triono, explained that the ASICK chatbot prototype is concrete evidence of academic contributions to public services.

"Good technology is not the most sophisticated technology, but rather the technology that is closest to the needs of the community it serves. Hopefully, ASICK Bogor will be a small step that brings great benefits to public services in Bogor Regency," Arnoldus concluded.

Poltek SSN Student Cadets Refined the Chatbot System

The ASICK Bogor application itself is not new to the Bogor Regency Diskominfo. This application was previously presented during the Field Work Practice (PKL) for Poltek SSN student cadets. Since that initial presentation, the cadet team has continued to refine its methods and deepen its knowledge to build a more robust chatbot assistant system.

In addition to its features, the system is also equipped with strict security restrictions. These security features serve to maintain data confidentiality, prevent system misuse, and ensure that all answers provided are sourced from official government documents.

Although currently still a prototype and under development, ASICK Bogor is expected to provide new insights into the use of AI technology in government environments. This is particularly important in the Bogor Regency Diskominfo’s efforts to improve the quality of fast and consistent public information services for both internal and external stakeholders.

Conclusion

Poltek SSN handed over the prototype artificial intelligence (AI)-based chatbot application called ASICK to Bogor Regency Diskominfo to support public information services. The chatbot is equipped with security features to maintain data confidentiality and prevent system misuse. Although still a prototype, ASICK is expected to improve the quality of public information services to be faster and more consistent.
