Jakarta, INTI - PLN Distribution Main Unit (UID) Jakarta Raya has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PJBTL) with two data center companies, PT Data Center Indonesia Sukses Perkasa (DISP) and PT Starone Mitra Telekomunikasi (BDX), as part of efforts to strengthen electricity supply for Indonesia’s digital sector.
The agreement signing ceremony took place at the Batavia Room, PLN UID Jakarta Raya Office. Under this partnership, PLN will provide a power supply of 2x29.9 MVA for each company, ensuring reliable and sustainable operations for both data centers.
Reliable Electricity Becomes Key for Data Center Growth
General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin, emphasized that the initiative reflects PLN’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s digital transformation.
“PLN is ready to ensure that data center electricity needs are met sustainably. This is part of our contribution to driving digital transformation and national economic growth,” Andy stated.
PT Data Center Indonesia Sukses Perkasa provides data center services supporting cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and digital connectivity. Meanwhile, PT Starone Mitra Telekomunikasi (BDX) serves enterprise clients, global cloud providers, telecommunications companies, and government institutions.
General Affairs representative of PT Data Center Indonesia Sukses Perkasa, Nova Nurmegeni, expressed appreciation for PLN’s support in ensuring reliable power supply.
“We appreciate PLN’s commitment to delivering stable and sustainable electricity. This support is crucial for maintaining the reliability of our data center operations, particularly for cloud, AI, and digital connectivity services,” Nova said.
A similar view was shared by Chief Business Officer of PT Starone Mitra Telekomunikasi (BDX), Dhany Lingga, who described the collaboration as a key foundation for developing large-scale data center services in Indonesia.
“This partnership is a strategic step in delivering reliable hyperscale data center services for enterprise clients, global cloud providers, telecom operators, and government sectors. A secure electricity supply is essential to maintaining our service quality,” Dhany explained.
Andy added that PLN will continue strengthening its power infrastructure and expanding capacity to meet the needs of strategic industries, including the rapidly growing digital sector.
“We will continue to serve as a reliable energy provider for the digital ecosystem, while delivering adaptive and sustainable services to our customers,” he concluded.
