Jakarta, INTI - PT PLN (Persero) continues to strengthen the national electric vehicle ecosystem by expanding access to charging services at home. This step is part of efforts to support the accelerated adoption of electric vehicles while encouraging the energy transition in Indonesia.
This commitment is demonstrated through the presence of home charging services (HCS) Ultima at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. This PLN service allows electric vehicle owners to obtain an integrated home charger installation solution, from application to activation.
PLN’s Director of Retail and Commerce, Fahrur Rozy, said that easy access to charging infrastructure is an important factor in increasing the use of electric vehicles in society.
"The HCS Ultima service makes it easy for electric vehicle owners to have a home charger at home. Starting from the application process, installing a home charger, adding power or installing a new one if needed, to activating the service," said Rozy.
He explained that the entire process is carried out through the PLN Mobile application so that customers do not need to take care of each stage separately.
PLN’s Strategy to Expand EV Infrastructure
The home charger installed meets Indonesian National Standards (SNI), passes the PLN platform compatibility test, and supports Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), RFID, and Wi-Fi technology.
Apart from devices, the service package includes the provision of installation materials according to PLN standards, such as cables, MCB, grounding, RCCB, ground rod, and other supporting equipment.
According to Rozy, the presence of HCS Ultima is one of PLN's strategies to expand public access to reliable and integrated electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
This step is part of PLN's commitment to building a national electric vehicle ecosystem, as well as supporting the energy transition target by providing charging infrastructure that is increasingly accessible to the public.
