Jakarta, INTI - PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (Mitratel) is targeting revenue and EBITDA growth in line with the telecommunications tower industry throughout 2026.
CEO of Mitratel, Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, explained that the telecommunications tower industry will remain flat in 2026, but a spectrum auction for telecommunications operators will soon be held.
It is known that the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) has opened an auction for the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz frequencies, which will be competed for by Telkomsel, XLSMART, and Indosat.
"This presents a new opportunity for us at Mitratel to expand, both in terms of reach and to strengthen our existing coverage area," he explained on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
Theodorus stated that the current industry trend is toward next-generation towerco with integrated ecosystems, including Power-as-a-Service (PaaS), with tower industry revenue growth projected at 1.2%.
He explained that the telecommunications tower industry this year is still affected by market uncertainties such as geopolitical tensions, the dynamics of The Fed's interest rates, and global oil prices.
Allocating Rp2.9 Trillion in Capital Expenditure
"The adaptation of new technologies, such as Internet Rakyat, which is managed by internet providers Surge and MyRepublic, is expected to provide opportunities," he said.
To seize this opportunity, Mitratel management has allocated Rp2.9 trillion in capital expenditure for organic expansion throughout 2026. With this budget, Mitratel is targeting an organic increase in tenants of 2,500 and an additional 9,000 kilometers of billable fiber optic length throughout this year.
"We plan to expand by adding organic tenants. This means we will build 2,500 tenants. We will also enter the Fixed Wireless Access business," said Theodorus.
