Jakarta, INTI – As digital transformation accelerates, the demand for professionals skilled in data analysis and management continues to grow. Addressing this need, the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has launched a free online training program open to all Indonesians. The initiative not only offers foundational knowledge in data, but also aims to shape a generation of professionals ready to compete in the global tech industry.
Government-Industry Collaboration for Digital Education
The training program is part of the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) scheme, organized in collaboration with DQLab, a data-focused digital education platform. During the official launch on July 10, 2025, Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto, Head of the Human Resource Development Agency (BPSDM) of Kemkomdigi, emphasized the importance of this initiative as a real effort to prepare superior human capital capable of meeting 21st-century challenges.
“This collaboration reflects the synergy between the government and the tech ecosystem in preparing digital talent that can manage and understand data as a vital asset of the modern era,” said Bonifasius.
Focus on Three Core Areas: Analytics, Engineering, and Machine Learning
The program offers three main courses targeting the most in-demand skills in today’s digital world:
1. Fundamental of Data Analyst
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the role and essential skills of a data analyst. Participants will learn about the data ecosystem, relevant tools and technologies, and gain hands-on experience through real data analysis projects.
2. Fundamental of Data Engineering
Participants are equipped with foundational knowledge to build data processing systems using Python, SQL, and Pandas, with an emphasis on concepts related to large-scale data processing.
3.Fundamental of Machine Learning
This course introduces the basics of machine learning and data science, including algorithms, statistics, and the practice of building predictive models with Python that can be applied across various industries.
A Real Opportunity to Enter the Digital Workforce
Said Mirza Pahlevi, Head of the Center for Digital Talent Development at BPSDM Kemkomdigi, explained that the training offers an important stepping stone for the public to enter the tech-driven job market.
“We believe that mastering digital skills, especially in data, is a strategic move to prepare Indonesia’s digital talent to be globally competitive,” he stated.
The program is open to everyone whether they’re just starting their tech careers or professionals seeking to enhance their digital capabilities.
From Learning to Action: Hackathon Opportunity
Beyond training, participants will also have the opportunity to join an online hackathon a real-world project-based competition that allows them to apply their new knowledge in a practical setting.
Yovita, Program Manager at DQLab, highlighted that data-related skills are now one of the most sought-after in the global job market.
“In today’s digital era, data skills are not just a bonus they’re a necessity. Learning data opens many doors, and through our partnership with Kemkomdigi, we’re delivering practical and relevant training,” she said.
Conclusion
Through this training initiative, Kemkomdigi is opening wide access for Indonesians to enhance their data-driven digital skills, equipping themselves for the future, and becoming active contributors to Indonesia’s digital transformation. Now is the time to learn, grow, and be part of building a tech-based nation.
