ISC Aims for Data Center Utilization Increase, Targeting Financial and AI Sectors

4 days ago | Data Center

Jakarta, INTI - PT Indonesia Super Corridor (ISC) has set a target of optimizing the utilization of its data center facilities to reach 7 megawatts (MW) by the end of this year.

The company's success in obtaining global security certification under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a key factor in attracting clients in the banking sector and artificial intelligence (AI) content providers.

ISC Founder, Benyamin P. Naibaho, stated that by the first quarter of 2026, the company's data center capacity utilization rate had only reached around 30%. The remaining available capacity will be focused on four floors of the Tier IV Data Center building located in Mampang Prapatan Raya, South Jakarta.

Obtaining PCI DSS Certification is Beneficial

The company hopes to reach 7 MW of utilized capacity by the end of 2026 and targets the banking, financial services, and AI sectors. Benyamin stated that obtaining PCI DSS certification is a key factor for ISC in expanding its market share in the financial industry.

PCI DSS is an international data security standard. This certification ensures that every layer of infrastructure, from physical access to network security, has strict protection protocols in place to prevent the leakage of sensitive cardholder data.

Compliance with this standard is becoming increasingly relevant as the volume of non-cash transactions in Indonesia increases. By adhering to technical requirements verified by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), ISC ensures robust security controls for the banking ecosystem, payment systems, and e-commerce platforms.

"We comply with and maintain all applicable PCI DSS requirements because the services we provide involve customer cardholder data. Data protection is an essential aspect of our facility governance," said Benyamin, who is also an expert in data center design and operation.

Financial and AI Sectors are Seen as Promising

In this year's competitive landscape of the data center industry, Benyamin sees the banking sector and Content AI Providers as the most promising markets. The growing adoption of AI requires infrastructure with high computing power and a stable energy supply, while the financial sector requires globally verified, high-level security.

To meet these needs, the ISC Tower facility is designed with high-end technical specifications. This data center has a capacity of up to 750 racks and supports a power supply of up to 20 MW. The company also offers a colocation Service Level Agreement (SLA) of up to 99.995%, a standard that guarantees near-zero downtime.

Compared to Tier III data center providers, which still have a higher tolerance for annual operational disruptions, ISC's Tier IV facility offers the advantage of a fully fault-tolerant infrastructure system.

Another fundamental difference lies in reliability. Tier IV data centers have redundancy in every power distribution and cooling path, so maintenance or failure of one path will not disrupt the operation of client server devices.

Conclusion

PT Indonesia Super Corridor (ISC) targets increasing data center utilization to 7 MW by the end of 2026, leveraging its superior Tier IV facilities and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard certification to attract clients from the banking, financial, and AI sectors. With its large capacity, high reliability, and global-standard security, ISC positions itself as a digital infrastructure provider capable of meeting the needs of industries increasingly dependent on high-performance computing and data protection.
