Jakarta, INTI – Yan Sibarang Tandiele, Director of the Machinery and Agricultural Machinery Industry (IPAMP), made an official visit to the booth of the Indonesian Industrial Robot Association (ASRII) at the Manufacturing Indonesia 2024 exhibition, held at JIEXPO Kemayoran. This visit has become a key highlight, reflecting the government’s commitment to advancing robotics and automation technology as pivotal components in Indonesia’s industrial transformation towards Industry 4.0.
During his visit, Yan Sibarang Tandiele expressed his appreciation for the various innovations showcased by ASRII members. He emphasized that robotics and automation technology hold immense potential to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of national industries, particularly in manufacturing. "ASRII has demonstrated remarkable dedication to building an inclusive and sustainable technology ecosystem. This aligns closely with the government’s vision of strengthening Indonesia's industrial sector," Yan stated.
ASRII's Strategic Steps Toward International Collaboration
Since its establishment, ASRII has experienced rapid growth, forging strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, both domestically and internationally. One of the collaborations currently being explored is with Brunei Darussalam’s Ministry of Health. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to establish a framework for cooperation in automation and robotics, particularly for pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare applications.
ASRII Chairman Malik Khidir explained that this partnership opens significant opportunities for Indonesia to lead innovations in healthcare robotics. "This collaboration is not just about technology transfer but also about creating solutions tailored to future needs. We are confident that this will have a profound impact, not only for Brunei but also for Indonesia’s healthcare industry," he said.
Stechoq: Driving National Industrial Innovation
One of the standout members of ASRII at the exhibition was Stechoq, an R&D company focused on developing robotics and Industry 4.0 technologies. Established in 2015 by accomplished millennials, Stechoq has garnered numerous national and international awards in robotics.
At Manufacturing Indonesia 2024, Stechoq showcased its flagship product, the Digital Control System (DCS). This technology enables comprehensive monitoring of a company’s operational processes, from upstream to downstream, with transparency and accuracy. A key feature of the system is its ability to provide Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data in real-time, empowering companies to optimize productivity.
"This product is designed to provide full visibility into operations, enabling faster and more accurate decision-making. It’s our tangible step toward supporting technological advancements in Indonesia," said a Stechoq representative during an interview.
Manufacturing Indonesia 2024: Spotlight on Southeast Asia’s Manufacturing Industry
Manufacturing Indonesia 2024, held from December 4–7, is Southeast Asia’s largest and most comprehensive manufacturing exhibition. With over 1,300 exhibitors from various countries, the event showcases cutting-edge solutions for the manufacturing sector. It is expected to attract more than 35,000 visitors from diverse industries.
ASRII’s presence at the event underscores its role as a key driver of technological innovation in Indonesia. In addition to introducing the latest products and solutions, ASRII leverages the event as a platform to expand its network and foster cross-sector collaborations.
Yan Sibarang Tandiele concluded his visit by highlighting the importance of synergy between the government, associations, and the private sector in shaping the future of Indonesia’s industry. "We need collaboration from all parties to build a resilient and globally competitive industrial ecosystem," he stated.
Paving the Way for the Future
The IPAMP Director's visit to ASRII’s booth at Manufacturing Indonesia 2024 not only underscores the government’s support but also serves as a reminder of Indonesia’s vast potential in robotics and automation technology. With strategic collaborations, such as the one with Brunei Darussalam, and innovations from companies like Stechoq, the future of the national industrial sector looks brighter than ever.
