Jakarta, INTI - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison began 2026 with an impressive business performance, recording double-digit growth across several key financial indicators during the first quarter of the year. The achievement reflects the company’s successful customer-centric strategy, supported by AI-driven hyper-personalization, consistent operational efficiency, and continued investment in network expansion and digital services.

During the first three months of 2026, Indosat posted revenue of Rp15.2 trillion, marking the highest quarterly revenue in the company’s history and representing a 12 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, EBITDA grew 13 percent year-on-year to Rp7.2 trillion, maintaining a solid margin level. In terms of profitability, net profit attributable to shareholders reached Rp1.5 trillion, up 26 percent from the first quarter of the previous year.

The results demonstrate the company’s ability to sustain long-term growth through a business model that not only maintains operational stability but also successfully translates digital transformation initiatives into consistent financial performance.

Positive growth was also supported by the company’s strong mobile business performance. Combined average revenue per user (ARPU) increased 15 percent to Rp45,000, indicating improved service monetization and stronger customer quality.

At the same time, data traffic surged by 25.1 percent year-on-year, reflecting growing public demand for digital services and reliable connectivity in everyday activities. The increasing level of data consumption further highlights the importance of internet services in customers’ digital lifestyles.

AI Hyper-Personalization Drives Customer Engagement

AI-based hyper-personalization has become one of the key drivers behind the company’s growth. Through a data-driven approach, Indosat aims to better understand customer behavior and preferences in order to deliver more relevant and personalized services.

This strategy is reflected in the introduction of more flexible data packages, the expansion of digital content ecosystems, and the creation of simpler and more intuitive service experiences. As a result, customer engagement has increased while also driving greater long-term customer value.

President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Vikram Sinha stated that the company’s strong start to the year reflects its consistency in executing business strategies while delivering tangible benefits to customers. According to him, AI-powered hyper-personalization has made customer interactions more relevant, improving user experiences and supporting sustainable business growth.

The company also continues to accelerate the expansion of its 5G network to provide better connectivity experiences for customers. This next-generation infrastructure is designed not only to improve internet quality but also to support AI-driven technologies that enable more responsive and personalized services.

In addition to strengthening its mobile business, Indosat is expanding its home internet services through HiFi Air to address growing demand for flexible and accessible residential internet solutions beyond traditional mobile services.

The company has also increased its focus on digital security by introducing AI-powered features such as anti-spam and anti-scam protection. This initiative highlights Indosat’s commitment to delivering connectivity that is not only fast and stable, but also secure for users.

Accelerating AI Adoption and Digital Ecosystem Development

Beyond connectivity services, Indosat continues to strengthen its role in developing Indonesia’s AI and digital ecosystem. One of the company’s major initiatives this quarter was the launch of Sahabat-AI, a locally developed large language model designed to better understand Indonesian language contexts.

The application is now available on both the App Store and Play Store, allowing broader public access. Built using a multi-model and multi-modal AI approach, the platform aims to expand AI accessibility for both individuals and organizations across Indonesia.

Through Sahabat-AI, the company seeks to reduce barriers to AI adoption while delivering technology solutions that are more relevant to local needs. The development of locally based AI platforms is also expected to accelerate digital transformation across multiple sectors.

Indosat is further strengthening its AI infrastructure through NeoCloud, a platform that provides scalable high-performance computing capabilities to support growing AI workloads.

These efforts are reinforced by the establishment of FiberCo, a strategic collaboration focused on expanding fiber optic networks across Indonesia. The fiber infrastructure will play a critical role in supporting large-scale, high-quality connectivity nationwide.

The company’s various strategic initiatives reflect its ambition to build an integrated digital ecosystem spanning network infrastructure, connectivity services, and AI platform development. Indosat aims to ensure that digital innovation and artificial intelligence technologies can continue to grow in Indonesia while delivering meaningful benefits to society.

Looking ahead, Indosat stated that it will continue maintaining its growth momentum by strengthening customer engagement, expanding network capacity, and increasing data- and AI-driven innovation. With an increasingly solid business foundation, the company remains optimistic about creating long-term value for customers, business partners, and Indonesia’s overall digital ecosystem.
