11 hours ago | Smart City

Jakarta, INTI - Listyo Sigit Prabowo has introduced four smart city concepts in the development of the Yogyakarta Regional Police headquarters, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony that officially launched the project.

Four Technology-Based Systems

The first concept focuses on a real-time data-based police command center that integrates various information sources to support faster and more accurate decision-making processes.

The second concept is a social listening and sentiment intelligence system that enables police authorities to monitor public opinion, particularly across social media platforms.

“Second, the social listening and sentiment intelligence system is designed to monitor and understand public opinions and sentiments, especially from social media, allowing the police to respond to issues more quickly and accurately,” he explained.

The third concept is a cyber security defense center aimed at protecting systems and data from cyber threats such as hacking and online fraud.

The fourth concept is a decision intelligence and knowledge system that processes data and institutional experience into a knowledge base for leadership decision-making.

“This system helps leaders make smarter, more accurate, and sustainable decisions,” he added.

Police Transformation Toward a Modern System

The implementation of these four concepts is intended to improve police performance through technology- and data-driven systems.

The Yogyakarta Regional Police headquarters is expected to become a model for smart city implementation within Indonesia’s law enforcement institutions.

The initiative also marks the transformation of the Indonesian National Police toward a more modern, adaptive, and integrated system.

Overall, the development project is part of broader efforts to provide more responsive and efficient public services aligned with the needs of society.

Conclusion

The smart city-based development of the Yogyakarta Regional Police headquarters reflects Indonesia’s commitment to modernizing public service institutions through digital transformation. By integrating real-time data systems, cybersecurity, and intelligent decision-making platforms, the initiative is expected to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen public trust, and create a more adaptive and technology-driven policing system.
