Google Cloud Next '25: 6 AI Innovations Set to Transform Business and Technology

1 year ago | Artificial Intelligence

Jakarta, INTI — At Google Cloud Next '25, held in Las Vegas, USA, Google unveiled six major breakthroughs in infrastructure and artificial intelligence (AI). From upgraded AI architecture to unified AI-driven security solutions, the conference reinforced Google’s position as a global leader in cloud innovation and artificial intelligence.

Hosted at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, the event featured keynote addresses from Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian. They explored AI’s immense potential to revolutionize business, technology development, and the way people work.

Hypercomputer AI with Ironwood TPU Chip
One of the main highlights was the upgrade of Google’s Hypercomputer AI architecture. Now more efficient and cost-effective, it’s powered by the seventh-generation custom silicon chip: TPU Ironwood. The chip delivers up to 10x the performance of its predecessor.

Vertex AI Gains Multimedia Superpowers
Google has also enhanced Vertex AI, its generative AI platform, which now supports content creation across video, image, audio, and music formats. New models—Imagen 3, Chirp 3, and Lyria—were introduced, complete with SynthID watermarking and copyright protection systems.

Smarter, More Specialized AI Agents
With a focus on real-world impact, Google showcased AI agents tailored for various sectors. Customer service agents are now deployed by Lowe’s and Wendy’s, data agents are boosting performance at Wayfair, and security agents are helping companies like Dunn & Bradstreet monitor digital threats.

Agent2Agent Protocol: Letting AI Agents Talk Across Platforms
Google introduced the Agent2Agent Protocol, the world’s first open standard allowing AI agents across platforms to communicate and collaborate securely. Developers can now take advantage of the Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Agent Garden to build next-generation AI agents.

Cloud WAN for Enterprises and Governments
With the launch of Cloud WAN, customers can now access Google’s high-speed private global network with low latency across the world. This solution is now available in all 42 Google Cloud regions.

Unified Security: A Single Gemini AI-Powered Security System
To cap it off, Google launched Google Unified Security, a comprehensive security solution powered by Gemini AI. It integrates threat intelligence, cloud security, security operations, and safe browsing into a single AI-driven system.

Google AI and Cloud in Southeast Asia: Indonesia on the Radar
Over the past year, Google Cloud recorded over 3,000 technological advancements in Southeast Asia. In Indonesia, major enterprises such as Telkomsel, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Astra International, and GoTo have integrated Google Cloud services into their systems.

Organizations in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia—including DBS Bank, Bangkok Bank, SET, and Maxis—are also among those adopting Vertex AI on a large scale.

According to Thomas Kurian, “AI has the power to improve quality of life, boost productivity, and reshape workflows at a scale we’ve never seen before.”

Conclusion: AI for Everyone, Everywhere
With the innovations unveiled at Google Cloud Next '25, Google demonstrates that AI is not just a tool—it’s the core of global digital transformation. From retail businesses to government institutions, everyone can now harness the power of AI—faster, broader, and smarter.
