Jakarta, INTI - PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM) has reopened applications for its Selected Provider List (DPT) to identify strategic partners for Indonesia's waste-to-energy (WtE) projects. The prequalification process is open to both domestic and international companies, as well as consortiums, with proven expertise in project development, technology, engineering, and financing.
The initiative is being conducted through DIM's subsidiary, PT Daya Energi Bersih Nusantara (Denera). The latest registration round follows two previous prequalification phases that attracted participation from companies representing seven countries.
The WtE program is being implemented under Presidential Regulation No. 109 of 2025, which accelerates the development of waste-to-energy facilities across Indonesia. The initiative aims to address growing urban waste challenges while generating renewable electricity through modern waste processing technologies.
Expanding Partnerships for Waste-to-Energy Development
In this latest selection process, DIM and Denera are seeking companies or consortium members with demonstrated experience in waste-to-energy project development, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), technology provision, operations and maintenance (O&M), project financing, and related infrastructure services.
Applicants will be evaluated based on their technical expertise, financial capacity, operational experience, and ability to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects.
Fadli Rahman, Investment Director of DIM and Chief Executive Officer of Denera, said the expansion of the Selected Provider List is intended to broaden the pool of qualified partners capable of supporting Indonesia's waste-to-energy ambitions.
"Indonesia's waste management challenges cannot be solved through isolated projects alone. We need a strong ecosystem of credible partners with advanced technology, financial capacity, operational expertise, and long-term commitment to deliver large-scale projects," Fadli said.
He added that the expanded registration process provides greater opportunities for both Indonesian and international companies to contribute their expertise and best practices to the country's waste-to-energy program.
"Our priorities remain unchanged: strong partnerships, proven capabilities, and effective project execution that delivers measurable impact," he said.
Registration Managed by Indonesia Infrastructure Finance
PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) has been appointed as the Registration and Verification Agent for the prequalification process.
Interested companies may contact IIF through the official registration email to obtain the registration package, which includes the Expression of Interest (EOI) requirements, supporting documentation guidelines, submission procedures, implementation timeline, and access to the virtual data room.
By reopening the Selected Provider List, Danantara aims to strengthen collaboration with experienced industry players and accelerate the delivery of sustainable waste-to-energy infrastructure that supports Indonesia's clean energy transition and long-term environmental goals.
Conclusion
The reopening of Danantara's partner selection process reflects its commitment to accelerating the development of waste-to-energy infrastructure through stronger public-private collaboration. By attracting experienced domestic and international partners, the initiative is expected to enhance project execution, improve urban waste management, and contribute to Indonesia's renewable energy and sustainability objectives.
