Jakarta, INTI - Danantara Indonesia will host the inaugural Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum (DTIIF) 2026 in Jakarta on October 26–28, bringing together global investors, technology companies, innovators, academics, and industry leaders to accelerate technology investment and industrial transformation.

The international forum is expected to attract more than 1,500 participants, including 170 global innovators, 131 CEOs of leading technology companies, 67 research and innovation centers, and representatives from more than 50 state-owned enterprises (SOEs).

Under the theme “Investing in Tomorrow: Advancing Technology, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth,” DTIIF 2026 aims to connect long-term financing with advanced technologies, scientific expertise, and the needs of Indonesia’s strategic industries.

Danantara Indonesia Chief Technology Officer Sigit Puji Santosa said Indonesia is entering a critical phase of technological and industrial transformation amid intensifying global competition for investment and technological capabilities.

He emphasized that technology investment must go beyond technological advancement to support the widespread adoption and industrialization of innovation.

Danantara Targets Technology Investment to Strengthen National Industries

Sigit explained that competition among countries to attract global capital and technology requires Indonesia to strengthen its capacity to develop, adopt, and implement innovation across industrial sectors.

He said the success of technology investment should not be measured solely by research achievements, but also by its ability to build tangible industrial capacity and generate economic benefits.

Scaling up innovation across industries is expected to improve productivity, enhance national competitiveness, create quality employment, and open new sources of economic growth.

Danantara believes scientific and technological breakthroughs require long-term financing and effective project execution to deliver sustainable economic value. DTIIF 2026 is therefore designed to connect researchers, technology developers, investors, and industry players capable of turning innovation into productive economic activities.

“DTIIF will connect scientific and technological expertise with long-term capital and execution, enabling advanced technologies to become sustainable industrial strengths and ultimately drive national economic growth,” Sigit said.

The forum will also involve Nobel laureates, sovereign wealth fund investors, institutional investors, government leaders, and academic partners. Emerging startups will participate to connect innovative ideas with industrial needs and financing opportunities.

Through these collaborations, Danantara aims to accelerate the transition from research and technological development to tangible industrial projects and investments in Indonesia.

Three-Day Forum to Focus on Global Investment and Collaboration

DTIIF 2026 will run for three days, with each day dedicated to a different strategic theme.

The first day, October 26, will focus on “Strategic Outlook and Global Partnership,” bringing participants together to establish shared priorities for technology development and investment while building international strategic partnerships.

On October 27, the forum will address “Technology, Innovation, and Investment Collaboration,” focusing on connecting emerging technologies and innovative ideas with industrial requirements and investment financing. The sessions are expected to facilitate partnerships among technology developers, industry players, and investors.

The final day, October 28, will explore “Youth, Inclusion, and Sustainable Future,” highlighting the importance of inclusive and sustainable innovation ecosystems, particularly in expanding opportunities for young people to participate in technological transformation.

Through this three-day program, Danantara aims to ensure that technological progress benefits both existing industries and future generations.

Google and Microsoft Among Confirmed DTIIF 2026 Speakers

Danantara has confirmed the participation of several speakers, including senior Indonesian government representatives, Nobel laureates, and representatives from global technology companies such as Google and Microsoft. Additional speakers are expected to be announced closer to the event.

The program will begin with opening remarks from government officials, ministers, and global economic leaders, followed by a C-Suite Session featuring Danantara Indonesia’s leadership and its priority investments and portfolio.

The forum will also feature plenary sessions covering technological developments, innovation, and investment opportunities across strategic industries.

A Nobel Laureate Lecture will provide scientific insights and perspectives from Nobel Prize recipients, while Sector Showcase sessions will highlight technological developments and opportunities in priority industries.

Other activities will include Project Pitching, allowing project developers to present investment opportunities to potential investors and strategic partners, as well as structured business-matching sessions and bilateral meetings to facilitate targeted business and investment discussions.

Six Strategic Industry Groups to Drive Investment Priorities

DTIIF 2026 will focus on six strategic industry groups considered essential to Indonesia’s economic and technological development.

These include energy; agriculture, food, and healthcare; advanced materials and semiconductors; transportation and infrastructure; finance and banking; and artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and telecommunications.

Through these sectors, Danantara aims to align Indonesia’s national development priorities with global technological capabilities and investment resources.

The forum is also expected to create opportunities for state-owned enterprises to collaborate on new technology adoption, strategic project development, and investment across priority sectors.

Danantara to Follow Through on Investment Opportunities After the Forum

Sigit emphasized that DTIIF 2026’s success will not be measured solely by attendance, the number of meetings, or the agreements reached during the event. More importantly, success will depend on whether those commitments translate into realized partnerships and investment projects.

Danantara will follow up on partnerships, memorandums of understanding (MoUs), and potential project pipelines generated through the forum to help turn commitments into projects that deliver tangible benefits for the public and the national economy.

The organization also aims to advance high-impact strategic projects into bankable investment opportunities, particularly in priority sectors capable of improving productivity, strengthening domestic industries, and supporting sustainable economic growth.

Sigit said the follow-up process is intended to create meaningful projects, generate quality employment for Indonesians, and strengthen collaboration among innovators, investors, and industry players.

By connecting global capital with Indonesia’s domestic capabilities, DTIIF 2026 aims to accelerate technology adoption, strengthen industrial development, and support sustainable long-term economic growth.

Conclusion

DTIIF 2026 aims to strengthen Indonesia’s technology and industrial ecosystem by connecting global investors, innovators, and industry leaders with strategic investment opportunities. Through collaboration across six priority industry groups, Danantara Indonesia seeks to accelerate technology adoption, turn innovation into bankable projects, create quality jobs, and drive sustainable economic growth. The forum’s long-term impact will depend on translating partnerships and investment commitments into tangible outcomes that strengthen Indonesia’s industrial capabilities and global competitiveness.
