BNI Saved 559 Thousand Giga Joules of Energy in 2025 After Consistent Environmentally Friendly Operations

Jakarta, INTI - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) recorded energy savings of 559,194 Giga Joules (GJ) throughout 2025. This achievement aligns with the company’s operational goals to strengthen the energy efficiency initiatives and reduce carbon emissions.

These savings primarily stem from reduced electricity consumption, which is part of the company's strategy to promote low-emission operations while increasing energy efficiency. BNI's Deputy President Director, Alexandra Askandar, emphasized that this achievement reflects the company's consistency in implementing sustainability programs.

"This reduction in energy consumption reflects BNI's consistency in implementing various energy efficiency programs while supporting sustainable carbon emission reduction efforts," said Alexandra in a written statement.

BNI Has Received Several Green Building Certifications

BNI also continues to strengthen the implementation of the green building concept in several operational buildings. Several of the company's properties have received certification from independent institutions.

The BNI Tower Building in Pejompongan has achieved Green Building Gold certification, while the BNI Plaza Building in BSD has received Green Building Platinum certification from the Green Building Council Indonesia.

In addition, the BNI Building in the PIK 2 area also received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) in the Building Construction category.

Alexandra added that these recognitions demonstrate that the transformation to environmentally friendly operations not only impacts efficiency but also receives widespread recognition nationally and internationally.

Going forward, BNI is committed to continuously strengthening the implementation of sustainability principles across all business lines and operations as part of its long-term strategy, including the development of sustainable financial ecosystem to provide added value to the environment and society.
