Bentley Systems Introduces Cloud Connect to Strengthen Infrastructure Data Collaboration

7 months ago | Data Center and Cloud Computing

Jakarta, INTI – The global infrastructure industry faces significant challenges due to project data being scattered across multiple formats and locations, ranging from models, PDF documents, inspection forms, and photos to IoT sensors. To address this issue, Bentley Systems, a U.S.-based infrastructure engineering software company, officially unveiled Bentley Infrastructure Cloud Connect on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Year in Infrastructure 2025 Conference in Amsterdam.
The launch introduces an integrated solution that enables infrastructure professionals to access, manage, and collaborate on project data from design to operation. Cloud Connect provides a connected working environment, addressing coordination challenges and improving efficiency at every stage of a project.

Strengthening Project Collaboration and Monitoring

Bentley Infrastructure Cloud Connect allows professionals to explore project portfolios comprehensively within a full geospatial context. Users can review technical details, collaborate with teams, and monitor project progress within a single, unified platform.
Andy Kaiyala, Vice President of Digital Construction Management at WSB, stated that the platform accelerates design reviews and helps teams better understand the impact of construction decisions. “With curated project views in Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, we can access 72 projects involving over 900 stakeholders from 86 organizations,” he said.
According to Andy, the platform also helps avoid costly errors and saves millions of dollars in potential rework.

Integration of Digital Twin Technology and 3D Visualization

Cloud Connect leverages iTwin technology to integrate data from more than 50 file formats, combining them with enterprise, geospatial, and subsurface data into a digital twin model.
The platform also features a unified web interface with Cesium-based 3D visualization and a mobile application, allowing users to stay connected with field projects in real-time.

A New Entry Point to the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud Ecosystem

Bentley Systems describes Cloud Connect as a gateway to the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud ecosystem, which can be further expanded to ProjectWise for design and construction workflows, and AssetWise for asset operations and maintenance.
The platform is scheduled to be generally available in December 2025, marking a significant step in the digital transformation of the global infrastructure industry.

Conclusion

With the launch of Bentley Infrastructure Cloud Connect, Bentley Systems delivers an integrated solution for infrastructure data collaboration that enables greater efficiency, coordination, and cost savings in projects. This innovation underscores the role of digital technology in strengthening the integration between design, construction, and asset operations, while ushering in a new era of transformation in the infrastructure industry.
