The message was delivered by the Bekasi West Police, part of the Bekasi Metro City Police, during an AI awareness session for students of State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Bekasi. The event was held at the school’s computer laboratory on Bintara 8 Street, Bintara, West Bekasi, on Thursday, September 11, 2026.
The session was led by IPTU Samsul Ma’arif, Head of the Community Guidance Unit (Binmas) at the Bekasi West Police, together with his team. The initiative forms part of efforts by the Bekasi Metro City Police to help students keep pace with technological developments while understanding the risks associated with misuse.

During the session, Samsul emphasized that AI should not be viewed merely as a technology trend, but as a tool that can help students improve their skills and creativity.

He also reminded students not to use AI for activities that could harm themselves or others.

“Technology that is intended to provide benefits should not be misused. Therefore, we encourage students to use AI positively, safely, and ethically,” he stressed.
